MojoJul 18, 2012Passage surges, subsides and enthralls like a Gothic Sigur Ros. [Jun 2012, p.93]
-
Under The RadarJul 9, 2012From open to close, Passages is cinematic and atmospheric, but not without a sense of forward motion. [Jun 2012, p.153]

Jun 6, 2012Exitmusic spends this record convincing you it can make a big noise, and of that there is no doubt. May 23, 2012Palladino and Church may drown their sorrows in a pool of gloomy effects, but they still make even the most heartbreaking sentiments sound sweet.
-
May 22, 2012Their debut album proper quivers and quakes with the cinematic electronics and emotional abandonment of a soundtrack to Armageddon.
-
May 22, 2012An impressive debut, Passage has as many great moments as it does moments that suggest future greatness.
-
May 22, 2012Like many such films (they exist, right?), Passage is endearing, with unforgettable peaks; it looks beautiful at first glance, and has no shortage of beautiful moments, but don't delve too deeply lest the mirage of a grandiose masterpiece dissolve.

May 22, 2012For the time being it's very hard not to fall under Exitmusic's intoxicating spell. Best not to try.
