Yelawolf is one of my favorite rappers of all time. I thought Trunk Muzik was amazing and I enjoyed all his other songs. But this is a disappointing album, there isn't one song that really sticks out and is really good. Its obvious that he changed a ton because of the amount of new fans he will get from the signing at shady records. I've listened to the entire album twice and there are about 4 songs that i would consider descent. If his next album is like this one, then I would be embarrassed to be a Yelawolf fan. Hopefully he steps his game up Expand

I like Yelawolf a lot, ive been following him since his "Pop The Trunk" days and he seemed to be pretty promising. The people giving this album a 10, are forgetting that a 10 implies illmatic, or reasonable doubt status.... Anyways, the first half of the record is solid... then things fall apart into a mess. Poor hooks and repetitive rapping ultimately are his downfall. Still a somewhatI like Yelawolf a lot, ive been following him since his "Pop The Trunk" days and he seemed to be pretty promising. Yelawolf's talent is quite obvious (his flow is spot-on, and he seems to be the heir to the throne Eminem once sat on), but that can be overshadowed by the sheer amount of clichés and filler tracks.

Radioactive is a mixed bag that has some outstanding tracks, while others fail from a lack of execution particularly in the production and hook department.

The end result is an album during which the main protagonist seems unaware of what's going on, playing second fiddle to the ruminations of backseat A&Rs and misguided grasps at populism.

It's hard to view Radioactive in any context that doesn't label as it a total artistic failure, to see the totality of Yelawolf's rolling over to commercial demands as anything but truly disheartening.
