It's a caustic dose of trashcore and punk that's light on melody, but loaded with riffs. [No. 103, p.59]

Oozing Wound frontman Zack Weil has an unhinged screech reminiscent of Destruction's Schmier, symbolising the group's mastery of a kind of primitive thrash with no goal greater than the release of energy. [Nov 2013, p.52]
  3. Mojo

Their relentless attack is deadly serious. [Jan 2014, p.104]
  4. Under The Radar
    Dec 4, 2013

There is a kind of metallic je ne sais quoi that elevates Oozing Wound above your average grinding maniacs with a smirk-inducing moniker. [Nov-Dec 2013, p.100]

While it's no Manifest Decimation, Retrash is still one of the year's most notable mutations of thrash, and Oozing Wound show a lot of promise to get even weirder.
  6. 70
Uncomplicated, doing precisely what it says on the tin, Retrash might not be an album of the year contender or a game-changer; but for pure unadulterated fun Oozing Wound are pretty hard to beat.

As it is, Retrash is a bracing and exhilarating blast of monster guitar riffs and enough speed and aggression to make the geezers in Metallica jealous.
