Sinking Into A Miracle is absolutely beautiful--otherworldly, often, and quietly ecstatic, in its own, strangely pop way. [Jan 2019, p.17]

Amor's debut is a collaborative exercise that plays to each memeber's individual strengths. [Jan 2019, p.106]

Sinking Into A Miracle isn't for everyone, and it isn't meant to be. If you want to escape down a rabbit hole of enchanting electronic orchestration then this is just the ticket. If not, then maybe give this one a miss.

They take more risks this time around, but not in a way that alienates the listener. The result is a sublime collection of freely expressive grooves which uplift and inspire.

When each song begins, you’re never quite sure where they’re taking it; each of the five tracks leads us through unfamiliar, pared-down disco landscapes.

Amor's main reference point is arguably Arthur Russell, though there's little of his joie de vivre--unless you count the cowbell on Heaven Among The Days--and more the cold fire of Martin Hannett-era A Certain Ratio. [Jan 2019, p.89]
