Aug 20, 2021Definitely different from Lorde's first two albums, but I personally really enjoyed it. The Path & California are both outstanding!
-
It's the only thing I'll say.
-

-
Aug 20, 2021The most powerful, vulnerable, magical place I ever been! Thank you Lorde for take us there.
-
-
Aug 22, 2021Beautiful sweet melody that im always played everyday! Its like a therapy for me.. Thanks Lorde!
-
Aug 20, 2021Real & pure definition of "Summer music" at its best. Her best body of work to date.
-
Aug 21, 2021It isn't a bad album but in my point of view, it feels like something is missing and Lorde had a big potential of making this one of her best albums.
-
Aug 21, 2021This album is literally healing the planet as we speak. A grower that deserves great attention to the songwriting and lyrics.

Aug 20, 2021lorde ended everyone. aoty. as a justin stan i can confirm she ended that racist with sm ease.
-
May 20, 2022It's a grower honestly. When SP came out I was disappointed, but now I'm glad she released this one. No, I'm not rich like her so I can ignore life because I don't have to work or something... but c'mon, it's not like ya'll relate to your favorites artists like... the parties, rich ass life all that **** and now ya'll picking on Lorde now. It's great.
-
Aug 21, 2021To think this album is rated very low is shocking. I deliver mail to this masterpiece. A beautiful album.
-
Aug 20, 2021It's a really personal, deep and vulnerable album. As a Lorde fan since Pure Heroine, I'm still impressed with her ability of reinventing herself every time, with every music or album, and I feel so lucky for having the opportunity to access this new phase. It's incredible and Fallen Fruit is totally my favorite!!

Aug 20, 2021I love this album so much, it's just a chill, sunny, type of album with nice summer vibes. It's so different from what Lorde has been done with the last two albums. It's not for everyone, but I personally love it, it's very calming
-
Aug 22, 2021I'm completely in love with this album. Lorde did an amazing job, the lyrics are softly and relaxing. I felt like I was on the beach in New Zealand when I listened the album for the first time.
-

Aug 26, 2021Doesn't top Melodrama but it doesn't feel like it's trying to, it's a perfect summer record. My only complaint is that quite a few of the songs have a similar sound I wish she'd have switched some of them up a bit while still keeping that same mellow tone. Still amazing. Highlights for me are Fallen Fruit, Big Star and Stoned at the Nail Salon.
-
-
Aug 20, 2021Just great .I loved the album. loved the singles.dont compare it to the other albums .its a new sound .Enjoy

Aug 20, 2021it’s so beautiful it fits her so well i think her changing her tune was the right decision this album was worth the wait it’s so incredibly beautiful and the way she’s connecting with her roots in it
-
Aug 20, 2021Simply outstanding! Lorde is a genius with her music. This is my favorite album from her
-
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021Beautiful songwriting, as lorde herself said: no weak lines on this one. Such new soundscapes and style but you can still hear that lorde stamp within, it is definitely a great timeless production.
-
Aug 20, 2021So different from her previews work, but definitely an amazing album! Great songs, beautiful lyrics and sounds, that in a couple years we will hear in every artist.
-
Aug 24, 2021Whatever California and Big Star are the best tracks of this brilliant album.
-
Aug 20, 2021Solar power was a good record, I truly enjoyed it, but melodrama and pure heroine are way better

-
Aug 20, 2021The amount of detail in this album makes up for a 4 year wait. That isn’t delusional.
-
Aug 20, 2021I think the album gets better everytime you listen to it. It is definitely a good album.
-
Aug 20, 2021An incredibly cohesive sound for this long-awaited third album. It's like waking up sunburnt at 4PM wondering what life really means, but gently, without blaming yourself, with grown awareness of what it means to be young (but not that young anymore) and alive (in a world that's dying). Not an easy one to listen to, but it caresses and blesses you with warm, tired sunlight. Loved it.
-
Aug 20, 2021Lorde's Solar Power is the dreamy, euphoric and self-reflecting album that will heal your wounds from riding through Lorde's violent wave of emotions of her past two albums.

Aug 20, 2021This is like a comforting hug from an old friend. I hope we stop comparing this to melodrama. They are two very different album.

Aug 20, 2021The album is so calm and intense. I am so grateful to live with Lorde at the same time.
-
Aug 20, 2021She’s only getting bad reviews because she changes her style, but that’s a good thing that people should appreciate. Fallen fruit, The man with the axe and The path are the high levels of the album
-
Mar 2, 2022An album that takes time to process and an album that’ll get even better with time.

Aug 20, 2021In "Solar Power", Lorde reaches a different level from her previous work. For those who waste time comparing and missing the old productions, leave everything you knew about this singer behind and indulge in the calm melodies and strong lyrics of the new album.
-
Aug 20, 2021In his newest work, Solar Power, Lorde proves to be one of the most innovative and versatile artists in the contemporary pop music industry. David Bowie didn't lie when he said she would be the "future of music", that's exactly what she shows us with her third album. Hot energy, summer calm and surreal poetry about fame and nature, we find it all in Solar Power.
-
Aug 20, 2021although she clearly didn't make relatability a concern, this album still makes itself a comforting, reliable source of inspiration and reflections of our inner conflicts, frustrations and, most importantly, our hopes

Aug 20, 2021Evolutionary. Ahead of its time. I'm pleasantly surprised that Lorde went for this direction, honestly thought I'd be disappointed. Either way, this album shall be the soundtrack of my life after high school. I can feel its impact already.
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021The best album of the year, it's different from Lorde's other works and this is very good, I'm fine with this album.
-

Aug 20, 2021U R THE BEST LORDE, FALLEN FRUIT AND HELEN OF TROY WERE MY FAVORITES
-
Aug 20, 2021I love it, it's a great album, sadly not everybody's going to understand this masterpiece.
-
Aug 20, 2021it literally saved my cruel summer
-
Aug 20, 2021I love the album and as a fan who religiously waited for 4 years, I am not disappointed. I didn't ask for a Pure Heroine nor Melodrama 2.0 and she delivered. This is a completely different Lorde and I am willing to grow up with her. Again, I love it!
-
Aug 20, 2021This album has showed me a different side of Lorde and I'm loving this refreshing, healing, pure vibe. This is way different from her past albums but this change is leading me into the sun. The vocals are immaculate, and once again her song writing skills never disappoints. Lorde never makes a bad song, that's all I can say now.
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021This album lacks all of the drama of Lorde's second album Melodrama. I think that is the point. The world has changed, and her world has changed—less anxiety and less exciting than we are used to, sure. But I think that is okay. Artists don't need to top themselves for the work to be good. This is good.

-
Aug 20, 2021Some songs are not what I expected but this is beachy pure heroine 2, the lyrics are everything the instrumentals are good.
-
Aug 20, 2021People wanting a melodrama pt 2 won’t like this album. Between the lyrics, the subdued yet powerful production, and her masterful way of creating a feeling from music, this album is one of the best of the year.
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021Beautiful lyrically and sonically. Lorde is simply ahead of us. This album will be a grower for everyone, I guarantee it. I just pride myself on the fact that I loved it on the first listen and when everyone suddenly flips in the next few months, I will show them this review as proof because I am better than them.
-
Sep 9, 2021This album sounds like a fairy tale. It's possible to see Lorde's evolution
-
Aug 20, 2021I like it, it's completely different from what she's done before and she nails it.
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021Feels like a nice and clean weed trip, when you smoke alone thinking about your life, your family and everything in between. The solar power is real, its not for a tiktok dance or lipsync its for tou enjoy the voice and secrets of an angel (or girl) who have seen it all.
-
Aug 20, 2021perfect album, deep smooth and low melodies but perfect album, definitely Lorde always surprises in his musical line to remember how that teenager talked about social problems in Pure Heroine to then end a Melodramatic relationship to begin to reflect on his life and how the energy surrounds it Solar Power is different but not far from what Lorde represent very good album
-
Oct 22, 2021the album is very good, lorde has clearly matured and, even though this may seem a step back from melodrama, the quality is still great. the production is a little repetitive sometimes, but at least you can tell that Lorde and Jack wanted the album to be cohesive, like an immersive experience.

Aug 21, 2021A very interesting album with a shift in production and musical style. Some may say it's boring or lacks interesting production but it's the style she has chosen! And she's great at it
-
Aug 21, 2021One of the most interesting moment that happened to pop music scene in 2021.
-
Aug 21, 2021She's grown so much, and this album absolutely shows that! The power of every song, lyrics and the feelings it gives you. I'm just gonna put this clear: you'll want to play repeat over and over, there's something missing from the first time you listen to the album, and once you fully understand how it's supposed to reach the public, hence all our senses, this album is a masterpiece.
-
Aug 21, 2021
-
Aug 22, 2021You may be disappointed if you expected melodrama 2.0, but that doesn't mean this is not an amazing album. It's her most more mature and relaxed era and even though there are a couple of weak tracks, overall the album is quite an experience. If you just want heartache bops then go listen to Melodrama instead of criticizing this masterpiece.

Awards & Rankings
-
Aug 30, 2021All these connections Lorde is trying to make: her strange pastiche imagination of the ’70s, that random spoken word interlude by Robyn about climate change, and the themes of “sun healing,” never fully reach each other. Often, they come off as disingenuous and out of touch more than they read as brilliant, or comical. Whether the album is one big prank, or just one majorly failed experiment, the gist of having the “privilege to ignore” is lost in translation. All you are left with is just a handful of pretty alright songs.
-
Aug 26, 2021If you're riding and vibing with Lorde, this bright shapelessness is superb mood music. If you're not riding her wave, Solar Power can seem elusive, even cloying, as it circles and sways with a smile.
-
Aug 26, 2021This might not be the album that everyone wanted from Lorde, but it’s a solid, dreamy effort that deserves exploration. There’s plenty here worthy of attention if you can focus for long enough.
