It's a complete, rounded work; the 13 tracks dovetail into each other perfectly. [May 2024, p.74]

It’s a humble but heartfelt effort which manages to tap into a font of cosmic beauty, and a delightful gift brought to you from these aging rockers.

Thematically and musically, this is classic Hawkwind –epic space-rock with science-fiction lyrics –resulting in a double album crammed with songs like “The Tracker” or “Traveller Of Time And Space” that could have been written at any time since 1970 and therefore fit seamlessly into one of rock’s great canons. [May 2024, p.34]

The acoustic guitar led instrumental “Underwater City” being an exemplary diversion into acid folk. Elsewhere “Re-generate” and “The Black Sea” are a couple of highly enjoyable (albeit slight) space jams, and exit track “Stargazers” regrettably bails out just when it starts to take off. [May 2024, p.60]

Hawkwind still sound like themselves and nobody else on Stories from Time and Space, and if it doesn't break new ground, it's the work of a band with interesting ideas and the talent and imagination to make something of them, which not many groups can manage, let alone one that's been doing this for more than half a century.
