One of the worst albums of all time. Beyonce keeps doing the same generic, pretentious and predictible album over and over. Lifeless and souless as usual. All the songs are trash.
A pile of pretentious rubbish. It doesn’t feel inspired or Lion King related, it’s just a cash-grab. The production is good, but that’s to be expected, as is her voice, but again, no surprise there. I just feel

I just feel that this is a step too far, it feels incredibly entitled and just uses the The Lion King as a perfect sales opportunity.
The film itself should have been left alone, but to spoil the original widely-adored soundtrack too? Unforgivable

Simply put the best album out this year. The songs are not just awesome, but the arrangement of the album tells the story. And the fact that she brought in authentic A1 African artists is a great plus.

Queima a chifruda.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Lame. It's okay to not like Beyonce. She can sing. We get it. But this album isn't anything special. She doesn't have the voice to do this rachet rap mumble music. She's better than that. It's almost like she is pandering. The Spirit video is all about Africa, though Beyonce is Rich af and can't even get a private jet out to Africa to shot this video. Ha ok. The Brown Skin Girl is hella autotune with everyone else on this song. Not even a bop it's a flop. And Beyonce over here light skin .tho ha ok. Expand

Horrible album. Beyoncé is definition of being overrated, but of course her fans will buy everything she releases.

After an album like Lemonade, Beyoncé returns in one of his worst strategies to stay relevant in the market.

The guest spots occasionally overshadow the star. The Beyoncé-led tracks are of distinctly variable quality. For every song as good as the brilliant Black Skin Girl or Mood 4 Eva, there is something underwhelming. ... It’s an album, then, that ably displays her excellent taste, rather than a great Beyoncé album per se.

Overall, it works and is another jewel in her crown — one that she, overall, can be proud to call hers.

Ultimately, The Gift is a deft balancing act that weighs personal songwriting flourishes and meaning with Disneycore tropes, as well as a sincere desire to celebrate the music of the African diaspora with its fundamentally commercial obligations.

On The Lion King: The Gift, Beyoncé deftly connects a kid's flick to something bigger, honoring not only Africa and its traditions but also shifting perspective to future destiny and greatness. It's a superior statement and a lesson on how to properly execute a winning soundtrack.
