The hooks aren't quite as memorable as last time, and Elvis Baskette's production at times make the band sound like faceless radio rock--but the disc ultimately might soon find TFT making good on their arena-rock aspirations. [Jul 2011, p.112]

With cliches becoming scarcer, there is clearly lyrical growth evident, yet one could hardly call them ground-breaking or especially relatable.

The Verge is the sound of a band trying far too hard to hit the mark--and falling short as a direct result of that. [2 Jul 2011, p.52]

They are very influential to me, and I try to take some of their style when I write my music. This album was overall very good, and I have listened to it multiple times. The Joyride to me is the best song ever. Almost as great as a little faster, or the remedy. I think it is amazing, and just wanted to get my thoughts out. I was so excited for it I pre-oredered it, hopefully their next album is just as great. Full Review »

Departing from the sound of their last album "A Little Faster", this album still offers a great sound with songs like "Circle of Lies", "HuntDeparting from the sound of their last album "A Little Faster", this album still offers a great sound with songs like "Circle of Lies", "Hunt Hunt Hunt", "Stopwatch Affair" and "The Verge". Sometimes bands go looking for a new sound like Linkin Park and true fans will stick with that band no matter what. Full Review »
