At its best, The Weird And Wonderful is as fine an articulation of the thrills, spills and general confusion of being young and different in the UK as you're likely to hear. [13 Sep 2014, p.52]

This is a very impressive, ambitious debut. [Oct 2014, p.113]

Best of all, though, is the dynamism of the music: although songs flit around from riff to riff, as if Marmozets were bursting to fill each song with ideas, they are never too full, never just exercises in technique.

You would need massive amounts of time on your hands in order to write, refine and record a debut album as thrilling as The Weird And Wonderful Marmozets.

Sure, a lot of this has been done before, but not often with this level of assurance and class on a debut album.

Their debut album is nothing shy of to show off their extravagant, loud. and powerful sound. Tracks such as; Is It Horrible?, Cry, Vibetech, Why Do You Hate Me?, and Weird and Wonderful are just some of the best off of the many this album has to offer. Full Review »

I now cannot stop listening to their album on my iPod! The whole album is great, but my particular favourites are; Born Young and Free, Why Do You Hate Me?, Captivate You, Love You Good, and Move, Shake, Hide.

The lyrics are typical adolescent material, but I do admire the lead singer's conviction. Overall, it's a promising album for a young band, but they don't have the maturity to be on the same plane with the likes of Paramore or Arctic Monkeys. Full Review »
