Lady Gaga is a name people either love or hate, and for me, I appreciate her style as I find it different than most pop singers out there. My problem with Gaga is her albums, as they tend to be more fillers rather than fun songs. Finally Gaga has delivered an album where almost every song can be considered a hit song. ARTPOP isn't perfect, but it delivers plenty of great production value, terrific songs, and amazing pace to keep things flowing just right. The first half is a standout, starting off with "Aura" then "Venus", "G.U.Y" and "Sexxx Dreams". The biggest surprise is the track "Jewels N' Drugs" which could've been a disaster, but works as a really cool hip-hop influenced pop song (take some notes Miley Cyrus). Other standouts include "MANiCURE", "Do What U Want", "Swine", "Fashion!", and "Mary Jane Holland", the whole album feels like a really awesome musical, with the finale being the big hit "Applause". Another great surprise is that the slow songs are few, and luckily are worth a listen, which include "Dope" and "Gypsy". Problems are that the story does get lost at points and feels a little too hypnotic. Also a few songs feel a too showy like the song"ARTPOP". But overall, ARTPOP can't quite get up to the level of being art, but it certainly gets close, and what we're left with is a superb pop album that may be Lady Gaga's best yet. Expand

Concisely, the album feels almost alike a strange sequel to her debut album, “The Fame.” It deals with some of the same topics and motifs. Fame, sex, drugs, the negative and positive connotations of success and popularity, all are themes discussed. But with ARTPOP, Gaga attempts to take the topic of pop culture, the fame, and mix it with art. In essence, she takes what Andy Warhol did with his paintings and photography, and reverses it, pouring the creation of art into a medium, in her case, her music and public image. As such, the album feels more uniformed, and more fulfilling than “The Fame.” Unlike her enormously successful debut album however, ARTPOP does not contain massively worldwide hits ala “Just Dance” or “Poker Face.” But when dealing with ARTPOP as an album in full, that’s perfectly fine. Gaga unlike most modern artists always attempts to create a cohesive idea, a balanced number of songs that play together, rather than create an album full of unsystematic and unhinged cheap singles. 8/10 Expand

This is one of the best pop albums ever. A lot o greatest beats and sounds. The only issue here is "Dope", a ballad out of place. But, other songs like "ARTPOP" and "Gypsy" are pretty awesome.

The only thing impressive about this record is the fact that Gaga somehow manages to come off as pretentious even through her music. Yet again, Gaga just tries way too hard to be "creative" and "artistic." ARTPOP is plagued track after track with stupid and unrelatable lyrics. None of the collaborations have any chemistry. She wails and over-sings on every track. Mess.

The album is really bad. Songs are only about sex, drugs and money. Instrumentals suck [just like lyrics and voice]. Disappointing after great albums as Born This Way and The Fame Monster.

I personally wasn't crazy about Dope because the whole album is like a sweaty rave and then Dope comes in like a hangover and makes the party shut down. ARTPOP is filled with unique pop music that cannot be matched with other pop artists. There are songs on the album that truly show her diverse talent and creativity. However, I feel the "Art" aspect of it is missing on the album. Not a big deal since her live performance are very, very artistic. Overall, it's an amazing pop album with great potential to exploit great art performances.

I watched her 2013 iTunes Festival, and her songs were not as good as before. The beats are not attractive at all, and the topics of the songs are scattered. ARTPOP has no central topic.
Since 2008, I fell in love with Lady Gaga because of her The Fame and The Fame Monster, mainly because the songs are catchy and the beats are good. However, in ARTPOP, Lady Gaga failed to deliver her message successfully and Zedd (to be honest, although I like him very much) is not as good as RedOne or Fernando Garibay.
Some of the songs (Jewels N' Drugs, Fashion! & Mary Jane Holland) are really BAD. The are just like CRAP. And I dunno why Lady Gaga intend to put these songs into ARTPOP.
I am basically dissatisfied with ARTPOP and I hope to see The Fame Gaga or The Fame Monster Gaga in the coming future.

Her first major hit, "Just Dance," is a cleverly constructed account of being deliriously drunk but stringing together a solid evening; because it posed as an enduring electro-pop jam, that cleverness was bestowed to a huge audience. Since then, Gaga has done everything in her power to turn pop music into a grounds for discovery that goes beyond face value, from bold fashion selections to sprawling live set-ups to artiste collaborations to cultural engagements that go well beyond the transition of a verse into a chorus. When Gaga wanted to herald a social movement, she focused the first single on her pivotal "Born This Way" on LGBTQ rights; when she wanted to clue the unaware in on the magic of Jeff Koons, she hired the world-class artist to create a nude replica of her "Fame" persona for her latest album cover. Sure, there are times when the simple pleasure of a verse and a chorus is enough to satisfy, but Gaga has always demanded more and when she has found success, she has upheld achievements that no other pop artist has sniffed.

"ARTPOP," the follow-up to "Born This Way," naturally abides by this far-reaching ambition and looks to re-think the "pop album" as an entity, even more than Lady Gaga's last album did. It's not surprising that "ARTPOP" will be packaged with an interactive app that blends music, art, fashion and technology together, since that is precisely what "ARTPOP" the album tries to actualize; Gaga is grasping more cultural trinkets than ever before, and wants to synthesize them into one mind-blowing, 15-song statement. When Gaga balances these skyward designs with dynamic songwriting when she successfully mixes the 'art' with the 'pop,' if you will the results are often euphoric. "Dope" and "Gypsy" are compelling accounts of personal hell and heaven on the back half of the album, and when the midway run of the seductive "Sex Dreams," boisterous "Jewels n' Drugs," effervescent "MANiCURE" and slithering "Do What U Want" takes hold, it's a long-player experience unlike anything a pop fan will hear this year. Of course, some of the more convoluted tracks sputter out before Gaga can carry her vision through, but even the weakest moments on "ARTPOP" are so carefully built and ardently imagined that one cannot help but admire the effort.

Coherently channeling R&B, techno, disco and rock music as a pop artist while discussing sex, drugs, lust, God, fame and creativity, Lady Gaga has offered fans her most sonically and lyrically diverse album to date. "ARTPOP" is imperfect, but so is its creator. It is a complicated album that should be applauded (pun intended) for inspiring interpretation, as well as telling fans that it's also okay to just dance.

Theres rarely loose ties, rarely rationale, just biased malarkey equivalent to some old queen annoyed by the fact that the younger generation has taken a liking to something they feel they've already seen or some jaded artist that scoffs at the fact that this blatantly commercial entity in popular culture dares to consider herself an artist if even remotely.

Lady Gaga is a contemporary commercial pop star that very much acknowledges and thinks of herself as a commercial pop star as well as an artist. Her intent on fusing art into her career isn't through the music so much as it is her general image which if you actually have paid proper attention to her and her goal within her career has always been her intention.

I see way too many critiques centering their entire articles trying to take her down a peg by harping on the fact that shes not experimental enough in sound for her to be allowed to consider herself an artist and nearly completely brush aside the fact that this album succeeds in its attempt to be a solid commercial pop record with great hooks and interesting references/samples that once again prove her to be a step above most of her contemporaries (Perry, Minaj, Rihanna). This album is imperfect (has everyone become so hellbent on "putting her in her place" that we ignore the fact that perfection is a rarity anyway?), but its the furthest thing from a travesty. Its one of the best commercial pop records released this year.

ARTPOP is a great album, but fails to snatch the title as the "Album of the year" thanks to Cyrus "Bangerz" released earlier in October.
However, the album is more "POP" than "ART" in fact, what Gaga defines as "ART" makes me wonder. Indeed the songs are great, but I see more art in Born This Way and The Fame Monster as they actually sounded fresh and new.

Artpop is loud, fun, simple and brilliant. Chromesthesia has me feeling a colorful candy like music, mindless most of the time but blissful.
Aura is a freakishly ridiculous song about of her artistry, with traces of Bad Romance dotted here and there, the album starts strong, getting crazier the further I go.
Venus gives fans a bit of nostalgia echoing songs from The Fame, the lyrics "Don't you know my ass is famous!?" might be the most memorable line of the whole album.
G.U.Y. and Sexxx Dreams disappointingly feel like fillers on the album as a whole, though they are very good songs on their own, catchy with killer choruses, they fail to make an impression like the first two songs.
Jewels n' Drugs, despite it's Hip-Hop influenced production, in the end it still feels like a pop song, her courage to dabble in Hip-Hop is commending, creating a
Manicure is the loudest and wildest song here, barely sticking to a central structure. The outro is epic, transitioning to the next song with dignity.
Do What U Want is the highlight of the middle part of the album. like Jewels, Lady Gaga is found dabbling in a different genre from most of her music, she and Kelly sing of fame and sex with straightforward lyrics, no poetry here but it works.
Artpop and Swine both also feel like fillers. Although many may argue that Swine is a song worth of note, it is, but explosive and mindless it may be I find Lady Gaga once again playing safe with typical pop songs. Artpop was a personal favorite, but after a few listens it fell into the category of songs that would be ignored in a play through.
Donatella and Fashion has Lady Gaga singing about fashion again after her song with Heidi Montag "Fashion", and overall does miles better than the first incarnation of "Fashion". She name'checks less brands this time, focusing more on the lifestyle, ultimately making her less amateuristic. But, compared to the whole album, Donatella and Fashion marks the lowest point the album in terms of sonic impact and overall fun-ness.
Mary Jane Holland and Dope both sing of drugs but do so in different ways. one confesses her love for it while the other sings about her mixed feelings toward it. Mary Jane Holland is an above average pop song, catchy enough but not suitable to be a single. Dope however is interesting. the most emotional and personal song of the album, using only what seems to be just three instruments, her powerful voice is highlighted here, screaming the lyrics towards the end of the song,
Gypsy is the most beautiful original song Lady Gaga has ever sung, it's hard to describe it with my limited English. She sings of her experience travelling the world without a home, like a gypsy. The chorus soars higher than anything she's sung, her voice warm and strong, giving the song a happier tone than the rest of the album. Shouting out geographical names in the end touched a lot of her international fans, she even managed to sneak in to mention her faux German in a previous song. If this songs ever becomes a single, critics will single this out as a high point of her artistry.
The album ends with Applause, which seems appropriate. The media has dissected this song already, I don't think I can add another perspective by now.
Overall, Artpop is a masterpiece, it has it's highs and lows but it successfully differentiates itself from the nauseatingly generic pop albums these days. If this were Lady Gaga's first album, there wouldn't be this much negativity towards the album as most people tend to judge an artist's work based on the the artist's qualities rather than the quality of the work itself.

Desperately trying to prove she's "art" and "pop" Gaga ends up failing on both accounts. The album is certainly bold and expressive, but completely one-note; Gaga used up all the tricks she knew. Pretentiously trying to make herself an "artist", she heavily borrows schemes and motifs from every true artist she can possibly borrow from only to look like a artsy mash-up project, rather than producing something innovative and original. In the end, she's a decoy without much doubt a great singer, but one unable to bring anything new to the table. Ridiculously poor on lyrical side as well, Gaga seems to have lost the touch; recycling old ideas is hardly inspiring for absolutely anyone who is at least somewhat aware of the art world... That being said, I'm positive ARTPOP will be a bestseller Gaga has the most devoted fans out there, willing to jump through fire for her. And maybe that's the best description of the music industry today: if you have the fans to buy your records, then who cares if the record is good? Expand

Definitely my favorite Gaga album (used to be The Fame Monster), sounds more focused, more adventurous and has a much more interesting concept than Born This Way. Judging by the critics' and fans' reviews, this will definitely be one of Gaga's most underrated albums, which is too bad since it's incredible.

It's like she took a mix of her sound from The Fame and a little bit of Born This Way, and it works fantastically. WARNING: It is VERY heavy on the Pop sound so I would not recommend this if you're not the biggest fan of pop.

ARTPOP is a good album but I was expecting something more from Gaga. I actually really like only 7 songs Applause, Artpop, Sex dreams, GUY, Swine, Do what you want, Venus. I hope she will go a little back to the old Gaga with the next album.

This is an album for her fans. After the injury and publicity hatred on Born This Way, Lady Gaga is back with more club banging, melodious and catchy album.

It is by far my most favorite album with The Fame Monster the second. I never expect ARTPOP to turn out this way everything the fans ever wanted. I was still expecting it to sound similar to Born This Way but hell yeah it did not!

The songs that are great really stick, but a few fall flat, specifically "Dope", which is disappointing since it was supposed to be the most emotional and raw track on the album; Honestly, the song was so much better before she mastered it and changed the title. Looking at it as a whole though, it's an amazing piece of ARTPOP

There's something that is truly fascinating with Lady GaGa: her flawed honesty. It really feels like GaGa wanted to stick so much to her theme, that she actually forgot about the music... In that sense, it feels forced, and not honest. Sticking to the ambivalence reigning between art and pop didn't do her any service: it actually made her album feel unsure, and definitely not finished... It really feels to me, like every song is not really certain of its direction. The production is interesting, that's for sure, I commend DJ White Shadow, Zedd and Madeon for the beats, but I really can't help but wonder why anybody let Venus get on the ''final'' product. Yes, Gaga produced it, but she didn't finish it. I feel there's something missing there. I can't stop thinking about the amazing vocals on Gypsy though. Really feels like the most honest song on the album, and the most beautiful one. I do not know who GaGa was trying to convince, especially by trying to make us believe that this album was done 1 year ago, when it definitely wasn't... Feels like a lot of songs were written at the last minute, or finished at the last minute. Expand

However, what Gaga fails to capture from contemporary sexual art is its poise and sophistication. If it wasn't for the overproduction and indulgent arrangements, half of the tracks would be unbearable to listen to. Holding your breath for portions of the album, however, will reward you with "Do What U Want," one of the strongest songs of the year, "Donatella," a cheeky rich-b**** anthem, and "Gypsy," this album's "Edge of Glory," among others.

Em ARTPOP somos levados por vários caminhos que Gaga já trilhou e muito bem por sinal, apesar de algumas novidades como colaborações com artistas de rap e o rei do R&B R. Kelly. The track which is a good one could as well be put as a bonus track in BTW. The great decision to include the song as the official single for Machete Kills was the best one yet. Yet fans loved her performing the song on the Itunes Music Festival, it would have failed in the charts would she have released it as a second single.

Venus Here comes the track produced by GaGa herself. It is a mix of 90's with some 70's in it. Having build up moments and a clear vision that only she could sing it is there. Yet the song fails to be memorable and not radio friendly. It comes as no surprise she choose to make it a promotional single instead of the second single.

G.U.Y. The beginning is something that really draws you in and makes you fall in love with the track the moment you reach the chorus. Zedd produced a solid track that will bring back The Fame fans that left GaGa when Born This Way came out. This has to become a single.

Sexxx Dreams What is common knowledge is GaGa use of past music and give it her touch. This song touches Kylie Minogue in the Chorus without being a rip off. She delivers showcasing that she is diverse with a bit darker sounding verses and poppy fun chorus.

Jewels N’ Drugs (feat. T.I., Too $hort, & Twista) This track is misplaced on so many levels. The production is on point, but the reality is that Lady GaGa cannot touch Hip Hop on this level. This makes it look forced and not GaGa at all. Who ever thinks this track is brilliant might as well go play with Miley Cyrus and keep taking those mollies.

MANiCURE This is a standout track!! Will Britney fans go crazy and start saying the chorus sounds like Mannequin, yes they will. Let me be clear this is so much better then mannequin. The vocals and raspyness of it will make every girl and every gay boy who listens to the song go wild before a night out.

Do What You U Want (feat. R. Kelly) Second material right here!! The R&B/Pop song is an middle finger to the critics and haters. It is not forced at all when putting it next to Jewels N Drugs. The chorus is infectious and memorable and the productions on it own is stellar.

ARTPOP The title song of the album is not a banger and not a snooze fest, but it is certainly the song you will put in the background of a lounge party. The lyrics are strong, but it is not really memorable as a whole. Good diverse song, but not great.

Swine At first listen things song could have been pop perfection. The truth is that were the song is club ready and will make you dance all night long, as a whole the use of too much EDM breaks makes it too long. Were the breaks shorter it would have been the best record in years. Non the less another stand out track.

Donatella People that haven't got a fashion background or isn't interested in fashion will know who Donatella is. But that is irrelevant for a song that screams your attention with a chorus that is not repetitive at all. The lyrics being a love letter from GaGa to Donatella will make you fall in love with this track.

Fashion! The song produced by Guetta and Will.I.Am that everyone expected to be a banger is not that at all. Does it stand out? No. Will people like it? Yes. The production which is smooth and totally not Guetta or Will.I.Am is great and makes it a great album track. The only bad thing is that while it is the best production Will.I.Am has made in years, it is becoming annoying how he has to put vocals in songs he produces.

Mary Jane Holland The track that was written during her time in Amsterdam of her Born This Way Tour. The track is dark and catchy and sound like it is the track you will listen during a party that brings your friends together while smoking some mary. Madeon production is effortless and the bridge is a good break from the song.

Dope This is what everyone is waiting from GaGa on a album. Where You & I came close to satisfy fans, this one will make them cry from joy of having a song like this and the lyrics of it. Being the most vulnerable GaGa has been, it rough and rawness will make everyone relate making this one of the most standout tracks of the album. This track has all the potential to be a single and not a promotional one.

Gypsy Starting with piano and making everyone believe it is ballad it turns into this full forced EDM track. It's so big and hits all the boxes of hit in the right places. This is can well be the song that would have made the best first single for GaGa of her ARTPOP era.

Applause When listening to the album this song that everyone knows as the first single is a no go. The lyrics are not that interesting, but at the same time the chorus is memorable. This song should have not be made first single material. I might go even further suggestion not even on the album.

When it comes to Lady Gaga, her lyrics might sound simple but it has lots of meaning to it. The track listing is perfect, it tells a story from the beginning to the end. Most of the people say they found hard to understand where's the 'art' in the album. But, every music, whatever it is, is an art. You don't put words such as, 'Picasso', 'Warhol', etc. for your music to embodies art. Maybe, Gaga is trying to sell the 'art' in how she present her music, from some intro in the song, the album cover, sculpture made by Koons, even the mural in presenting the track list.
Sometimes, Gaga is over the top with her artistic side, but you'll always be pleased with her performance with whatever she's done. This album is one of the proof. This less than The Fame Monster, but somehow beat Born This Way.
If you're a pop fan, you'll be happy and satisfied with this album. Artpop has more ups than down.

The amount of work that was put into this album by Gaga, DJWS, Zedd and every other major collaborator is evident. Yes, the album isn't perfect, but what album is? We put Gaga on such a high pedestal and expect her to blow us away with EVERYTHING. It isn't going to happen, for her to come up with an album that has 9-10 strong tracks 3 decent songs and just a couple weak ones is an accomplishment many artists won't be able to dream of. This album brings pop forward again, she has us talking, singing and dancing. We don't deserve this album, its the best that has been released in 2013 by far. There is so much talent out there that doesn't hit it's potential, at times that is Gaga, but this album proves she is here to stay and "slay" the pop music world. The music is amazing. The only reason this is getting negative reviews is because everyone has decided that they do not like Lady Gaga. Katy and Miley just produce generic pop Lady Gaga is always one step ahead and original sounding. The album has a variety of emotions and so many fun songs.

Simply an album unlike anything I've ever heard. A mixture, a trip through the brilliant mind of this amazing artist. I rate 10 because I really loved this trip.

Pretty solid album, G.U.Y is an instant favorite and potential 3rd single. Gypsy, Manicure,Sexxx Dreams also stand out. Fashion may have been better to be left of the album or included on the App.

But you'll have to open your ears to assimilate them as well as each comes with so many layers of production that barely come to us already suffocated Sometimes as in GUY which I think is great potential danceable it seems that this camouflage musical is put there almost on purpose, to make people forget that Gaga has this uncanny knack of composition envied by artists caliber of Elton John But thinking a little with the head of Gaga she could not do otherwise such is the creative exuberance So many ideas sometimes she just overreacting What is not a problem for her fans who were raised on a diet of delicious excess.

But all is not well On other tracks you realize clearly that "craft musical" Gaga and the best example of this is in Gypsy perhaps my favorite track artpop She's there, almost at the end of the disc sandwiched in Applause that closes the proceedings") Getting there for anyone planning to listen to the entire album at once as I proposed is almost an extreme sport it requires an excellent preparation But before we present Gypsy Gaga gives a straight shot to our attention it calls for a break from that hectic pace that only came increasing every song and offers a beautiful ballad perhaps the most beautiful of all that she has written Dope The lyrics are very strong I will follow looking for answers because I need you more than drugs in my translation as I said hasty the piano more, and singer drops his voice as I had only seen on stage in studio recordings it always seems to fall short of their potential due to overproduction but I digress So, once you are in a kind of state of grace Gypsy begins almost without interruption in fact seems more like a line from Dope But in a mere 40 seconds the song is already becoming something else and wait a minute who's singing it? Donna Summer ?

" Gypsy reminds me of one of those clips from the 80s when an artist starts singing alone in a dark room and everything will gradually lighting up people are entering the crystal balls descend from the ceiling and everything becomes a huge track dance Yes Lady Gaga can And you can have fun with it Bonus there comes a chorus of powerful, and a chorus that I challenge you to resist singing along at two o'clock in the morning after no more than two beers at the club Somewhere in California, Katy Perry is wondering, as I did not think of it before ?

But a disk to function can not depend on just a few notable tracks And so even extremely pleased with the songs I already mentioned I asked myself what else is good in artpop Certainly the participation of IT Too hort and Twista in Jewel 's N drugs' I would say that Gaga is finally learning to choose partners of hip hop as well as Nicki Minaj Or, R Kelly who was half-forgotten and back with everything in Do what U want Swine Swine is a colossal rudeness and efficient "You nasty just a pig in a human body Gaga shoots over a powerful rhythm dancing and there is more potential success on the track a chorus shouting pig never sounded so glamorous Venus is one of those catchy choruses as it reminds us that the early career of Gaga a metarreferência it's like she remembered the order that she gave back in 2008: Just dance In a curious note I recently discovered that this single" was released in the United States on the very day of my birthday five years ago would be a gift that fate had in store for me or I digress again And Sexxx dreams" though again themes well known repertoire of the artist herself has also gained my attention in part by reference to masturbation something that always amuses me in pop see the chorus of our every day today below) in part by the charm of the song is stopped, when almost three minutes and everything says Gaga in intimate tone "I do not believe I 'm telling you these things but I had a few good drinks and oh my God This is the frequency at which I like to listen to Gaga And so now I'll be a good time with this memory

Lady Gaga's newest album, ARTPOP, delivers a myriad of sounds that contains elements from her previous albums. Most tracks were made for the clubs and to just have a good time. This is her greatest work to date, beating the glorious The Fame (The Fame Monster)

Gaga's best album to date!!! Its perfect when you hear it from start to finish, its like a story or a movie. Its theatrical. Her vocals throughout the album are fantastic and improved from her last albums. Zedd and Madeon do a fantastic job on producing songs on the album and DJ White Shadow and Gaga do a great job on their respected productions. As always Gaga's songwriting is outstanding and music improved and fun, although lacks maturity compared to Born This Way but it doesn't need to be for the theme. I also fell that the each song can be played individually and there is something for everyone on this album. Her vocals are outstanding in Do What U Want and the production for G.U.Y. Donatella, Mary Jane Holland, Aura and Gypsy are fantastic, Jewels and drugs has a hard beat and features T.I, a collaboration which I have waiting for years since he stated that he worked on a song with gaga called Lick It. I'm sure the haters saying bad things about the album are most likely to be pressed other artists fans. I listen to almost every artist but gaga stands out the most to me, not only because of her persona but also her music, its not the kind of music that I would get bored after one day. Did i forget to mention that gaga wrote and produced/co-produced all the songs on the album? that's what I call a real artist. It's a great album and I'm sure that you will find a song or songs that you will enjoy. Expand

ARTPOP is amazing, but not better than BTW. Gypsy is the best song of the album. Jewels and Drugs is the worst. Sexx Dreams itunes version is better, tbh. But i love it anyway.

There is not doubt that ARTPOP is Lady Gaga's best album. And there is not doubt that ARTPOP is the best album of the year. Electronic, dance, hip hop... and 2 amazing ballads. You can find so much variety in ARTPOP. Amazing songs as for example, Sexxx Dreams, GUY, Venus, MANiCURE, ARTPOP, Dope and Gypsy.
So, if you love the music, and you love the art, you mast love ARTPOP

Honestly, this album is truly amazing. At first I didn't expect anything good from this album and thought the buzz around the artist was bigger than the album itself but I must say that this album changed my mind, I received my copy and started to listen and couldn't stop! I don't know why people would say they've "Heard" it all before because I don't know where. This is totally differentHonestly, this album is truly amazing. I don't know why people would say they've "Heard" it all before because I don't know where. This is totally different from any pop artist's releases this year, and what I love most is that this album is not as serious as BTW, and I promise that there are at least one song that will make you dance, it's pure EDM/POP heaven!

I agree that not all people might like it because this is a risky album but that's what makes it even more of a winner, not many artists can take risks like this and still have a solid record. The one point I deducted from the total score is that there are misses on the album, I did not like Jewels n Drugs and the changes made from ManiCure from what we heard on the iTunes festival wasn't favorable to me but the song is still catchy though and might make the 'Single' status. Not a fan of Marry Jane Holland either!

    I loved the following songs:

Aura It's a very different type of song, something you wouldn't expect from any pop star right now, it's unique!

Venus This song is probably my favorite and has a chorus that will give you Eargasms! Totally love it, takes me back to The Fame Monster!

G.U.Y. also an awesome and yet very sexual song. Zedd did a pretty good job producing this song and this song might just be a single!

Do What You Want It was a surprise to hear just how well Gaga and R. Kelly's vocals fit together as I thought it would be a miss on the album but it definitely is not a miss! 80's kind of vibe!

Artpop This song really feels like it's putting me on a high without any substance LOL! I don't think this song would make a good single but it's a favorite on the album! It will have you swinging your arms for sure!

Swine I would understand why people might not like this song but I just can't help but lose myself dancing with song and it's quite addictive! Can't stop, EDM galore!

Donatella People say this song lacks when it comes to it's lyrics, fair enough, but if you listen to the song, why would you want the lyrics to mean anything? This is such a song with a great beat to it! Another job well done by Zedd for producing this song!

DOPE This is a song for the fans and although I wouldn't call myself a "Little Monster" (LOL) I couldn't help but feel and enjoy this piano ballad! You can truly experience this song to the max with Gaga!

Gypsy This song will most definitely grab your attention and is an upbeat song with awesome lyrics co-written by RedOne who is known for his hits, this is very radio-friendly and will most probably make it as a single, it's pure POP heaven!

Applause Last but not least, applause! This is the lead single from the album and it's a perfect way to end the album, with APPLAUSE. I am sure everyone knows this song by now so I don't have to say much!

Like I said, I would not call myself a Little Monster at all and thought this album was going to be a hot mess, but I was definitely wrong, Gaga just gained a new fan with this re-invention of POP, definitely going to be on repeat this summer! Worth the buy!

Wow. what a p*s*ing match this is between love and hate.

People can try to make all of the objective arguments they want about something which is completly subjective. But at the end of the day it's only as good as your desire to keep listening to it. Whether you give it a 10 and listen to it maybe one more time or a zero and keep on listening either way your full of sh**. I can't

The melodies here are fine, they do a job, but nothing backs up Gag's Warholian rhetoric or scales the barmy heights of Bad Romance. [Jan 2014, p.116]

While it’s stronger than the messy ‘Born This Way’, Artpop feels little more culture-quaking than a good collection of fun, silly, well-crafted pop songs.
