Bang & Works Vol. 2 also captures a genre in transition, as both the old guard and the young producers increasingly look to other genres for a way to progress the sound, or at least re-flavour it.

Bangs & Works Vol. 2 straddles a fine line between function and dysfunction, innocence and dissonance--and not once in its 26 track run does it ever get boring.

It shows the music, too, is undergoing rapid evolution. [Jan 2012, p.123]

The second Bangs & Works is a marked improvement over its predecessor.
