The sisters are truly coming into their own here, exploring new sonic avenues and expressing themselves with beautiful, and occasionally brutal, honesty. [1 Mar 2019, p.51]

Throughout the solid set of songs, Fitchuck and Tashian prove a tasteful fit for the duo, reinforcing and embellishing the sisters' languid technique but also staying out of their way.

Canterbury Girls still succeeds at being Lily & Madeleine’s most personal and cohesive work to date, but the siblings too often seem as if they’re reluctant to let loose and lean into the music.

This album is Lily & Madeleine's best yet. Hauntingly, beautiful, ethereal voices cast a spell on you with synth pop sounds and rhythms. TheThis album is Lily & Madeleine's best yet. Hauntingly, beautiful, ethereal voices cast a spell on you with synth pop sounds and rhythms. The Jurkiewicz sisters have teamed up with Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuck - who helped produce Kacey Musgraves "Golden Hour" which earned four Grammy wins- to co-produce this album.
There is no doubt this could be the breakthrough album for Lily & Madeleine to introduce them to a larger audience and quite possibly be a album of the year contender. Standout tracks include: Self Care, Canterbury Girls, Supernatural Sadness, Just Do It, Can't Help The Way I Feel, and Pachinko Song.
