The ten-percent of the album that isn't a sparkling slow jam or midtempo cut is a swift and uplifting jam that approximates a super session with Dâm-Funk, the-Dream, and 1984 Prince. It leads off--both a sly fake-out and a hell of a way to open one of 2015's most pleasurable debuts.

Dornik has come out of leftfield to release one of the best quality and most addictive pop records of recent times.

    It’s a polished, well-crafted debut.

Dornik’s voice wafts past like a poolside waiter, in service of the scenery, not standing out from it. Ultimately, the album has the same effect: but it’s still the season’s coolest British background music.

An emerging songwriting talent with a style and sophistication all his own. [Oct 2015, p.107]

The lyrics rarely transcend pillow talk, but it hardly matters; Dornik leaves the poetry to the arrangements.
  7. 60
The album never regains ["Strong's"] scuttling momentum, lapsing into a boudoir-soul bubble-bath that, with too much immersion, leaves one’s interest wrinkling.
