It’s the knockout closing pair that illuminate the band’s mastery of dynamics, unbearabletension and cathartic release.

ENSWBL, Part 2 picks up the baton of its predecessor and sends it surging to the finish line, leaving Foals legions ahead of their competitors.

This is a special piece of music, and one that is all the more likely to impress because of how unexpectedly it departs from the formula laid out in Part 1. As both a standalone piece and as a counterpart to its predecessor, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 is a towering achievement.

Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost — Part 2 is at once a satisfying and boundary-pushing listen from a band that sound hungry over a decade into their career.

Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 doesn’t quite live up to the lofty benchmarks set by Part 1—or really any Foals record to date—but that doesn’t mean there’s not a lot to enjoy here.

The songs are just a little perfunctory. Like a popcorn disaster movie, the album is full of adrenaline, and yet doesn’t stick in the mind long after you’ve finished with it.

Rather than forming the second half of a complete statement, Part 2 struggles to differentiate itself.

Strong follow up to part 1, with much more emphasis on guitars this time around. Very spicy 10/10

Absolutely incredible sequel to Part One of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, Foals managed to cut a ripe juicy apple in half with a perfect cut. Highly culturally valuable record that refers to a lot of things from Alan Stillitoe short stories and David Bowie to ramparts of England and the gorgeous Greece with its mythology. Expand

This album sounds best when listened in order. Like Lightning and Ikari just don't quite reach the same peak as the other tracks. But make no mistake, it is the closing 3 tracks, that set this album apart from their previous work and works from other brands. In the Surf is simply beautiful and eloquent and very moving. 10,000 feet is a bruising rock ballad with echoes of past James Bond songs. The Runner screams Duran Duran and the Inxs but does it will aplomb. And despite these similarities, no one has pulled off anything so creative and epic in a long while; all the way through the album there is a reverberating baseline builds and builds - the way the album builds slowly to a crescendo while maintaining its tempo and balance with incredibly well written lyrics to fortify it is nothing short of utter genius. In a way, ever since they started to turn their rudder in a more Indie-rock inspired direction with What Went Down, I have been waiting and longing for them to produce an album like this. Everything they promised you get. If you liked WWD, you will absolutely love this. To claim this is the best Indie Rock effort in almost 10 years is definitely no exaggeration. They obviously imparted influences from other bands and genres, but somehow everything sounds so original and fresh. Perhaps that last opinion depends on the ears listening. I am only giving this a 9 and not a 10, because of the two tracks that don't quite work, so objectively this is a 9 but in my hearts of hearts this is a 10. Any critics worth their salt get this album , and the others, well slightly biased by their musical tastes perhaps? Some might prefer Part 1, which is by no means any less a masterpiece, but I rate Part 2 higher. Surely this will get number 1 in the UK? Expand

____ Rich and dense sound, all kinds of experiments, high sound quality and original presentation made these records a definite breakthrough____ Rich and dense sound, all kinds of experiments, high sound quality and original presentation made these records a definite breakthrough for a team with 14 years of experience. The musicians saturated the work with electronic instruments, which updated and imagined the sound of the group. There are enough lyrics, and heavy guitar parts, and the dramatic voice of Yannis sounds penetrating and corrosive, leaving a deep emotional trace from listening. The album impressed and hung on a repeat.

____ Frankly, I began to listen to this release from the second part and it turned out that it is beautiful even without the context of the first. It was risky enough to split 20 tracks into two albums. But Foals musicians can now safely drink champagne in honor of their success, because in the end they got two great albums of equal value.

Overall decent record, but poor mixing and self repetitiveness making it mediocre. "Neptune" kicks ass.
