    There aren’t enough words to describe this album. A different side to Park Jimin was not only explored, but embraced in this work. From Face Off to Set Me Free, a raw and relatable story is presented. This album exceeded expectations with a tone and vibe only fitting Jimin.

    I wasn’t sure what to expect with this album since each of Jimins solo releases have been so different from each other, but I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely blown away. The raw emotion that went into the songs and their deep meaning, along with Jimins vocals are just beautiful. If you take away the interlude, and Like Crazy (eng version) there really is only 4 songs on the album. The hidden track Letter definitely should’ve been included because that’s honestly my favorite song from the album, but I understand why it wasn’t. All in all, Jimin delivered a compelling story that leaves us wanting more. I cant wait to get more music from him in the future.… Expand

    This album is incredibly good! In many ways, FACE felt very different and very Jimin at the same time. The songs are very versatile and allowed us to hear different sides of Jimin. I feel very honoured to be able to listen to Jimin’s stories and the rawness that comes with it. I’m very happy and satisfied with this album, it was everything I expected and much more.

    Great album. It may be an EP but it has impact. Especially with the hidden track Letter on the physical album. The title track Like Crazy is one of the best pop tracks perfect for radio I've heard in a while especially being it has 2 versions including an English version to choose from and I love both versions. And Set Me Free pt.2 is like an anthem. Face-off could be a single too evenGreat album. It may be an EP but it has impact. Especially with the hidden track Letter on the physical album. Then the release of Like Crazy felt like completely opposite emotions. Once I listened to the entire album, the journey made perfect sense. Face-off is my favorite track, hands down, my older kid prefers Set Me Free Pt. 2. I love every track, and frequently find myself singing Like Crazy. I'm so impressed by FACE. AND.... the hidden track on the phsyical album is PERFECTION.… Expand

    FACE perfectly encapsulated feelings of loss, confusion and anger in one self during times of desolation. It reflects on a period of time and the never ending cycle of self destruction that ultimately rises to an epiphany of determination and self assurance to break the cycle with Set Me Free Pt. 2. An emotional, heartbreakingly relatable album with a hopeful end. Absolutely loved it!

    Absolutely fantastic, he let us in his most inner thoughts although i'm sad he went through such a rough period and happy he overcame it, every song is a pleasure to the ears, i can’t chose a single song because they're all masterpieces and i can’t wait to hear more of him and his gorgeous voice.

    Face is a great album. It shows the struggle that Jimin went through during the pandemic. Hiw lonely he was. And I think that this albums reflects on others too. So many people can relate to Face because they went through a hard time, they felt lonely and they were alone, no one beside them to comfort them.

    First time doing this but I just had to leave a review for this masterpiece. It's short but I feel like that's the best way to leave the fans waiting for more. The range in this album is immaculate! From Hip-hop to R&B to Synth Pop and Pop Ballad. Jimin's unique tone puts a spin on each song. He is seriously so versatile. I don't know what else to say except that I'm truly amazed. I listenFirst time doing this but I just had to leave a review for this masterpiece.     I have been waiting for Jimin' album ever since I became an army. I knew his album would be amazing. And all my expectations were fulfilled. Every single track of the album was new, fresh and different. Only thing that was different, was a full album, not a ep. I can't wait for his full album.

    Wow! I love every song. Although it’s only short I think that’s the beauty of this album. No filler songs every song is different & really really good. They each have a different sound & mood. I also like the album tells a story albeit a little sad in Alone. I actually did have tears listening after finding out it’s how this Guy dealt with the pandemic. I could relate I guess so I paidWow! I get a feeling Like Crazy was made for radio & the charts. Hope it does well cause this guy deserves to be recognised for this album it’s well put together & flows from song to song. I have listened easily more than once & can see it being played daily by me. I guess by now you can tell I really love it. The surprise is I didn’t think I would cause I don’t know the singer or kpop so when a friend suggested I listen I kept putting it off. Big mistake!     This album is my new favorite. There's no single song that skippable, like, I'm drowned to those songs. It feels like the singer wanted to tell a story. I felt disappointment, denial, anger, bargaining, sadness/depression, and also acceptance there. The whole five stages of grieves in one album. Yhe singer' boice have a great range!

    It starts off with Face Off, a self deprecating lullaby which questions ones part in the mess that they are in. The artist faces off with himself and he doesn't like what he sees.

    Interlude: Dive plunges headlong into an illusory state where he gets caught up in his reveries of the past, trying to hold on the adulation of the crown, but going home spent, drowning in the deafening silence.

    Like Crazy takes us into a psychedelic dream of yearning to be true to oneself. The addicting synth pop arrangement gives you an illusion of being caught up in euphoria of the moment while slowly melting into dysphoria

    Alone takes you to a dizzying ride and feeling trapped in a merry go round sans the merry. Set Me Free Pt.2 is an anthem that speaks of triumph over self. It opens with the victorious chanting of the choir and the blaring of the trumpets signaling the fall of Jerichos walls, giving you a bittersweet feeling of liberation. The hard hitting rap, the cussing are very uncharacteristic of the artist Jimin and yet you want to give him a rousing applause for finally breaking free from the mold of being a kpop idol.

    Letter is the twin of Promise, but better - calming, sweet, makes you want to walk on the beach, watch the sunset and fall in love. Every person struggling needs to be inspired by this album - FACE. We all have a JIMIN in us and he articulated perfectly well our inner struggles and victories.     This is an amazing album. Jimin did a great job and in each song you can feel as if it also my story, it is an album with Jimin's personal feelings but it fills all the senses and each song is enjoyed from beginning to end. It's a masterpiece!

Letter is one of my favorites - it's definitely a comfort song, but IJimin's first solo effort showcases his range as an artist and the risks he took beyond his comfort zone. It's his personal story and yet relatable - the pain, loneliness, need to distract oneself, and the desire to break free. I've gone through the full album several times and can't get enough of his mellifluous voice. Letter is one of my favorites - it's definitely a comfort song, but I also like the rage in Set Me Free Pt. 2. Like Crazy is truly a bop and a song that I've been able to introduce to people who are not really into kpop. Face-Off and Alone are gems on their own as well.     You can see that Jimin really worked hard to produce this album. His struggles and his mental stealthiness are reflected in this album. The storytelling of his journey through his state during the pandemic are articulated beautifully.

There can be lots of interpretations of the album, but my favorite is the stages of grief, where Face-Off represents anger ("believing in people, it's all a terrible nightmare"), Interlude: Dive represents denial (you hear Jimin speaking over a crowd of people, and then hurried footsteps), Like Crazy represents bargaining ("don't save me, don't you try to save me" - probably one of the best song outros I've heard in awhile), Alone represents depression ("I feel like I'm losing myself slowly"), and Set Me Free represents acceptance ("I won't hide even if it hurts anymore). Each song has a unique sound and sonically rich. For instance, the way Jimin uses computer effects in Alone when he sings "day and night, fall and repeat," you feel the oppression of the repetitiveness of this life's emptiness. You truly feel the emotion of every word Jimin sings. In this context, the last song, Set Me Free, feels liberating, and the autotune is this song is used masterfully as a second voice in the song - you feel that there are two parts of Jimin battling it out: The autotuned "take no prisoners" voice, and the softer "real" voice, if you will.

    Every note, every lyric, every sound effect is well thought out. My only complaint is the brevity of the EP. But I look forward to anticipation to more work from an amazing artist.    … Expand

    Face es un álbum hermoso, además de contener una gran variedad de canciones, el poder escucharlo hace que tu estado de ánimo y tu día mejoren, Jimin se esforzó demasiado en la preparación de este álbum y el resultado fue magnífico, uno de los mejores álbumes del año.

    I heard about the album from Reddit and thought of giving it a listen since it's short. Always been fond of his voice, especially in Filter. I was impressed that he's tied together so many genres. Like synth-pop is my absolute favourite (the weekend is one of my heroes for this reason) and the title track Like Crazy got me on a tight grip.     Absolutely beautiful album! I have been anticipating this album ever since Jimin first talked about it and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Jimin has such a versatile voice and each song definitely demonstrates that along with his creative storytelling, allowing the listener to feel the diverse emotions portrayed.

I don't say it lightly when I say that I think FACE is a masterpiece. I'm still in awe of what Jimin created. Simply good music, good sound, and an ability to convey feelings with his voice that can bring you to tears on an emotional seesaw, andI wish I had enough words to express everything this album makes me feel. I still can't forget what it was like to hear it for the first time. I don't say it lightly when I say that I think FACE is a masterpiece. I'm still in awe of what Jimin created. Simply good music, good sound, and an ability to convey feelings with his voice that can bring you to tears on an emotional seesaw, and even the less empathetic to the brink of them. The way he experimented so much with his debut album was an incredibly brave gamble, and one that he won. He is a complex artist, and FACE is that album that leaves you wanting more.     While it’s a short EP, it doesn’t disappoint. If anything, he presents himself as a soloist with an unexpected sound for his high-pitched countertenor voice and very far from those earlier ballads we have heard from him.

    Its six tracks wrap all too quickly, and while it was specified that Jimin doesn’t consider this a full-length project, it does leave the listener craving more music in this vein somewhere down the road — it’s worth repeating that the energy of “Face-off” is one that he should consider chasing most of all.
