    The first solo album of Jimin and he's raised the bar! The album has his experience of emotions through the pandemic and how he faced them. Each and every song its hard.     Long awaited music album by my favourite member of BTS - Jimin. He has such a unique voice and charisma, and I could not resist and fell in love with these songs and JIMIN once again.

    The single Set Me Free Pt. 2 is so powerful, Like Crazy is so dreamy and fun (and a nice one to sing along, especially the English version), but I absolutely adore the other songs too - Alone, Face-Off and    Long awaited music album by my favourite member of BTS - Jimin. He has such a unique voice and charisma, and I could not resist and fell in love with these songs and JIMIN once again.

    The single Set Me Free Pt. 2 is so powerful, Like Crazy is so dreamy and fun (and a nice one to sing along, especially the English version), but I absolutely adore the other songs too - Alone, Face-Off and Interlude: Dive which is even not really a song but still. All those songs were charting in my country’s iTunes, so I’m not the only one to think so :) The only thing I’m sad about is not being able to listen to the precious gem of a song, Letter, on every streaming platforms. But this is our BTS and ARMY thing to leave hidden love messages to each other, so…)

    I would end my review with the quote of Yoongi (SUGA) if BTS: “You’ll definitely like BTS’ music if you listen to it without prejudice”. So please give it a listen. It’s worth it     … Expand

    Jimin's FACE album is very meaningful. Most important thing is he participated in writing the songs which showcases his true self. Really appreciable. Proud of him!

    Ah, Jimin's first ever album, telling us of his story on how he coped thru the pandemic. What a sad time indeed. Pandemic really hit us hard and most of us I guess, suffered greatly. Especially artists like Jimin, who thrive thru fan interaction or human interaction. It really was a depressing moment. Like crazy inspired by a movie, one of his favorites. Set me free pt 2 telling us that heAh, Jimin's first ever album, telling us of his story on how he coped thru the pandemic. What a sad time indeed. Pandemic really hit us hard and most of us I guess, suffered greatly. Especially artists like Jimin, who thrive thru fan interaction or human interaction. It really was a depressing moment. Like crazy inspired by a movie, one of his favorites. Set me free pt 2 telling us that he is now free from all his demons. Alone telling us of his loneliness.     FACE is definitely one of those no-skip albums for me. It has every type of song that I am looking for. One moment I was crying my heart out to a song and head banging to the next. Park Jimin did not disappoint in this solo debut of his. Set Me Free pt2 was a big risk he took and using it as a pre-release track was such a good move for me as he acts as his opening show to his debutFACE is definitely one of those no-skip albums for me.     FACE is the best album released in the year 2023 so far. It speaks about how the artist Jimin felt during pandemic when the world came to an absolute halt, hence very relatable to most of us too. Overall, it's gonna be your favourite album for a really really long time.

These songs are quite different from other songs on rotation. Each song is special, and depending on the mood, perhaps, the favourite changes. (Is it just me? Songs are favourites based on my mood.)     Face is the road that jimin walked in for the bast three years, it is very personal but at the same time, jimin descriped a feelings that can be related to any human being in this world,, and that's why this Album must be in the top for all time.
    It is really a healing album with amazing kyrics and melodies just like a dream.

Jimin chose to write about deeply personal feelings and experiences during the pandemic and proceeds to tell the story in the order of the track list. First, anger (face off), then denial (like crazy), then sadness/acceptance (alone), and finally overcoming it and breaking oneself free (set meThis album was a first step as a solo artist for Jimin outside of the mega successful group BTS. Jimin chose to write about deeply personal feelings and experiences during the pandemic and proceeds to tell the story in the order of the track list. First, anger (face off), then denial (like crazy), then sadness/acceptance (alone), and finally overcoming it and breaking oneself free (set me free). This is just an EP, but Jimin filled the entire EP with a different genre in each track, and he carried each genre exceptionally well with his unique tone. Kicking off rather too short promotional activities with Set me Free pt 2 as a pre release was a genius move. Set me free pt 2 is not just a song, but a theatrical anthem that leaves you breathless as it immediately fully immerses you in the performance. Jimin who is a main dancer in BTS along with JHope just knows how to put on a performance as an exceptional dancer. It created such hype and buzz that it built up an enormous amount of anticipation for the title track, and Like Crazy in its synth pop genre did just the job, satisfying the anticipation. This EP was an experience for me that I will never forget. I'm very excited to see the further development of a super star artist Jimin, as a solo artist. He gave us something he has never done before on his solo projects as a bts member. He made this album as catharsis for what we felt 2 yrs. ago and I felt those emotions on this album. Except for the hidden track (which reads exactly like a love letter), I interpreted the album as him questioning who he is. Rather than alcohol (although it can be part of it, but I found it too on the nose for Jimin), it feels like he used to get drunk on the fame and his work, and not that he was without it he was questioning who he was without it. SMF touches upon how the expectations from outside sources made him suppress a lot of who he was but no longer.

    Like Crazy is very, very queer coded to me, which is not something new for Jimin by the way. The way the woman (both in the MV and the choreo) mirrors him, it feels like a fight between femininity and masculinity, with him embracing both in the end. That, along with the inclusion of Mapplethorpe (which he has referenced before in his photopholio) and a hinted at WLW couple, made me relate a lot. As a queer person, the shot of Jimin standing above a video of people kissing striked me as an image with such loneliness, feeling as if love is unattainable for you, not seeing yourself in any of the images of love out there, being alienated of everything people make love to be...

    No sé como describir la alegría que tuve cuando escuche las canciones de este álbum. Park Jimin siendo un pedazo de artista, un gran vocal que nos hizo volvernos locos con su Set Me Free pt2, y luego nos regaló Like Crazy una canción adictiva.

    Amo Face, es un álbum que siempre estará conmigo.

    Jimin surprised everyone with the release of a new album. Jimin offered a fresh viewpoint on the entire music business, not just Kpop. All the songs are wonderful. All individuals who experienced the same things as Jimin can relate to it. The soothing, sweet tone of Jimin's voice is amazing. Jimin's music is something that everyone should hear and enjoy.     When I think about this being Jimin's debut album as a solo artist, I'm speechless. I reckon a majority of people expected his album to be sweet, filled with ballads, and not raw, aggressive, and bittersweet slice of life piece. Every song is a unique experimental masterpiece and seeing Jimin's name all over the credits for writing and composing makes my chest swell with pride.

    This is the first album in many years that I listen to and enjoy every song in every detail, the music, the vocals, the rap, the choir. Jimin is a wonderful hardworking and very talented person and it feels like he put his feelings into this album and you can listen to it like reading a book that you can't put down and can't wait to reread.     Es el primer álbum de Jimin y de verdad el de esforzó demasiado considerando que el es una persona que no se conforma busca mejorar y varias veces lo hizo con este álbum y en definitiva es lo mejor de lo mejor mi canción favorita de este álbum es Like Crazy y Set me free pt.2

    Park Jimin has never disappointed us with his songs. Every song he has given us is so versatile and comforting. His first solo album Face is a hit! Face Off is bop, Set Me Free Pt2 my god no one even imagined he would release a song in that genre. He nailed it. And the Like Crazy is amazing song it gives The Weeknd vibes.

    FACE is a verb here. This reflects how Jimin faced his emotions when he was down. It's a story of becoming free from it. His voice is unique and soft, just like his personality. Like Crazy is definitely a pop 80's vibe and I love it.
    Beware: Jobless fans of other kpop groups went out of their way just to add negative and troll on reviews of this album.

    The album is very beautiful with 6 tracks in it. It is Jimin's first time expressing himself through his music and he did an amazing job at that. His incredible vocals and also his unique rap is the result of such an artistic and mind-blowing album. His album is absolutely a must listen album.

    Amo de principio a fin el álbum, cada canción me pega de formas distintas, los ritmos, su voz, el instrumental, todo es muy perfecto, incluso la canción escondida es demasiado hermosa, Promise solía ser mi canción de confort para mis días malos, pero llegó Letter y no puedo explicar lo mucho que lloro con esa canción, es demasiado hermosa, ojalá algún día la saque en todas las plataformas de música.    … Expand

    Face is a fantastic debut EP, with an impressive range of sounds, emerging lyrical talent, great production and plenty of feeling and soul from the singer, Jimin. Even the most controversial track (Set Me Free Pt.2) makes for an intriguing listen with a vocal performance that sticks with you long after the first listen. Its autotune may be jarring to some, but the artistic intent behind itFace is a fantastic debut EP, with an impressive range of sounds, emerging lyrical talent, great production and plenty of feeling and soul from the singer, Jimin. Even the most controversial track (Set Me Free Pt.2) makes for an intriguing listen with a vocal performance that sticks with you long after the first listen. Its autotune may be jarring to some, but the artistic intent behind it is clear and it provides a delightful contrast to Jimin's soaring, clear high notes on the same track. My only criticism of this song would be that the English lyrics in the verses are somewhat weak, but other lyrics (both English and Korean) on the album easily make up for that. For those who can't get into Set Me Free pt.2 (which is still fair!), the title track Like Crazy is a hit from the very get-go: an addicting synth-pop club banger with the potential to be stuck in your head for weeks. I could even listen to the instrumental on its own and not be bored. Jimin sounds like pure honey, though, and possibly even more so in parts of the English version, which—to my surprise—I loved just as much as the original.

    Face-off and Alone are incredibly solid B-sides. Alone in particular was an instant favorite, it's such a gorgeous and evocative song. Going by the order of credits, it's also the song Jimin was most involved in, which is incredibly promising for his future solo ventures. Both songs highlight Jimin's impressive vocals that he can seemingly match to any style and, as promised, show something new and raw and soulful from the singer. I was surprised to hear the shallow criticism of Face-off's intro when it so uniquely sets the self-deprecating tone of the song and transitions really well into those opening bars. As one last comment, the interlude does a good job of bridging Face-off and Like Crazy and of establishing Face as a true concept album, one that the singer clearly thought through in every regard. It's been quite possibly my favorite debut from a K-pop artist and I'm more than excited to see where Jimin goes next in his career.    … Expand

    Best album of the year in my book! It had everything from high quality production dabbling in a number of genres to aggressive rap vocals and heartbreakingly beautiful delicate falsetto. Jimin really explored his vocal range while talking about some very relatable topics for the average person. I recommend it to anyone willing to listen without preconceived notions!

    The whole album is well crafted, it's a story-telling. Start with clownery-sound in face-off, Jimin talks about how he's betrayed by his close friend (I assume).     Interlude: Dive, we're invited to get a deeper side of Park Jimin. The contrast between Jimin BTS on the stage greeting fans and Park Jimin as a person here is really raw to be seen. Like Crazy tells you about how Jimin wants to escape from reality by drinking, partying, but then in Alone (starts with an alarm which shows morning has come) he gets to realize once again how lonely he feels.

    Set Me Free Pt.2 is such a banger! Don't know why people were so upset about this song when everything's well put (this is one of my fav tracks in this EP) conveying about how Jimin wants to be set free from his internal struggle/mind. Then the album is sweetly finished with a Letter for fans.

    Overall, this EP is fantastic and might be the best (if not) BTS solo release ever in my opinion.    … Expand

    While it’s a short EP, it doesn’t disappoint. If anything, he presents himself as a soloist with an unexpected sound for his high-pitched countertenor voice and very far from those earlier ballads we have heard from him.

    Its six tracks wrap all too quickly, and while it was specified that Jimin doesn’t consider this a full-length project, it does leave the listener craving more music in this vein somewhere down the road — it’s worth repeating that the energy of “Face-off” is one that he should consider chasing most of all.
