    Um álbum simplesmente perfeito em que Taylor conseguiu explorar as mais diversas áreas dos seus sentimentos em uma batida Folk, o que fez com que ficasse ainda mais impecável em sua voz. Um álbum totalmente coeso com palavras indescritíveis. Um trabalho de pura qualidade.

    Folklore is about the story-telling, the narrative, the characters and the lyricism. Swift took her a brave step to switch her genre from pop to alternative just like how she did in her 1989 era. This album can be described as a story-telling movie with songs acting as scenes in a movie. This is why its called folklore, it is the best album taylor has released up to date

The album is a blurred photograph where Tay is reminiscing about old times with a calming neutrality. If I had to pick one song to compare the entire album with, I’d say it’s like a sober, blurred and black and white version of All too well. The songs deal with past relationships, a few references to her feud with Kanye West but mostly, it focuses on what Taylor does best, telling stories through her songs, creating imagery that takes us to a different world of her creation. The album also has a set of three songs (cardigan, August and Betty) which tell the story of a love triangle. We might get two more song videos for the other two songs since we already have the video of cardigan but we never know what Taylor is up to. Despite that, I am highly satisfied with this surprise album… Expand

I hate being the person that says “I miss the old sound of this artist” because I understand that musicians have to evolve and explore their art... However, I did miss her old sound. This album blends well the ‘old Taylor’ and ‘new Taylor’ perfectly. Even when she was experimenting with pop music and the likes, her lyricism was beautiful but personally, since I’m not a big fan of western pop music (or at least the one they play on the radio nowadays), it distracted me from her beautiful storytelling; but with Folklore it was all about it.     The perfect place for Swift to take her career. After a few listens I’m just in shock that this whole project is real. One of the best albums ever made and for sure the album of the year. The soft indie/folk production does not cover the cutting like glass lyrics and overall the perspectives and story telling were at her best. Highly recommend.

You'll listen to august and end in december. You'll find yourself sitting with a cup of tea in a forest, wrapped in a blanket, thinking about your past lover, your future lover and all the ones you'll never meet. You'll fall down 23 times and stand up 24 times. You'll go to your closet and grab your old cardigan or leave it there forever. You'll think ''Damn, **** Betty'', the next minute you'll love her. You'll want to sit at a fireplace and just watch it burn, then dry your tears in the afterglow. This album creates a fantasy world that reflects our feelings, hopes and fears during a pandemic in such a magical way, you'll cry your heart out. Guitars, banjos, harps, pianos, harmonicas and Taylors extraordinary voice that shines on this album brighter than ever. Folklore is a lyrical masterpiece.     It's such a lovely album which has a lot of beatiful lyrics like every album Taylor has wrote, It's magic and every song takes you to feel what se wants to express.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
