    Lyrically amazing! But, some tracks I wasn’t really a fan of. “cardigan”, “august”, and “betty”, are my three favorites and “epiphany”, “peace”, and “hoax” were my least favorites.

    The quadruple hit of mirrorball, seven, august and this is me trying? She did THAT.

    It's minimalist and atmospheric – and you get totally sucked into another world – her songwriting has NEVER been better.

    Really amazing album. It might just be her best lyrically amazing and sonically cohesive. It was a major change for her going from pop to folk/alt but she pulled it off.

    Wow. I am simply blown away by Taylor Swift’s new album. When I heard yesterday that she was releasing a secret album, I had a hard time falling asleep last night, I was that excited. My expectations were certainly not disappointed. folklore is definitely her best album since Speak Now, and the third of her eight that I would give a 10 (no other artist even has two albums in that range). With folklore, Swift completely changes her style to something that might have come out if you mashed up her debut album with reputation, but with an overall quality that is comparable to Fearless and Speak Now. This new form of music is very fun to listen to, as it is unique to both her and the rest of pop. I guess that is kinda what I appreciated about it. Taylor Swift went back to having acoustic guitar (and piano!) based songs instead of electronically-produced music that was first experimented with in Red and then became her main style in 1989. It’s not that I don’t care for electronic music (it can be really good), but there is something really special about music that is made with real instruments, like the mind-blowing acoustic guitar riffs that can be heard in more than one of the songs in folklore. I wish I could give my song by song commentary but I can't because of the character limit. Overall, I was completely astounded by Taylor Swift’s eighth. Ever since 1989 came out, Taylor Swift’s music had been fun, but had never quite reached the heights of her first four albums for me. folklore is a complete game-changer, though. The score I give folklore is right up there with Swift’s best. No, Taylor Swift is not giving her crown away any time soon. She is one of my absolute favorite artists, and the effort she has put into making folklore another spectacular album only reinforces that. I highly recommend this album to all Taylor Swift fans as one of her best. I was scared that after Lover we would have to wait a long time for another release, but folklore is something better than what I could have imagined and it is really what we need right now during this worldwide crisis. Thank you, Taylor Swift!     A lyrical masterpiece. It's not your normal cup of tea but if you focus on the lyrics of every song in this album you'll fell in love with it. Definitely one of her best album so far.

    Truly one of her best works, if not her best. Particularly in the lyrical category, Swifts skill truly shines in this album. Taylor showcases her songwriting and storytelling skills like NEVER before, complimented by a beautifully cohesive, mystical sound that will bring you to your knees.

    Folklore jest również najbardziej dojrzałym dziełem Swift. Zwykła dziewczyna z gitarą, która zdobyła rozgłos za sprawą country, a    Folklore jest najlepszym albumem Taylor pod względem lirycznym. Każda piosenka opowiada swoją historię, a dzięki ich uniwersalności każdy może utożsamiać się z innym bohaterem utworu. Przez melancholijne brzmienie krążka miło słucha się opowieści artystki.
    Folklore jest również najbardziej dojrzałym dziełem Swift. Zwykła dziewczyna z gitarą, która zdobyła rozgłos za sprawą country, a później miano legendy poprzez pop ewoluowała w artystkę, która umie połączyć oba te gatunki w jeden alternatywny album z powiewem świeżości.
    Ósmy album Tay ma sobie nutkę magii ze Speak Now i nostalgiczne jesienne brzmienie Red. Niezwykle delikatny, stonowany i emocjonalny Folklore przypadnie do gustu fanom wolnej, kołyszącej na wietrze muzyki. Ja niestety jestem zwolenniczką nieco szybszych kompozycji.
    Największym atutem krążka są teksty piosenek, ale słuchając piosenki, jakkolwiek pięknie by ona nie była napisana, to największą przyjemność sprawia mi melodia. W tym wypadku 16 piosenek zlewa mi się w jeden utwór, przez co trudno mi jest je rozróżnić od siebie. W połowie, dla mnie jako Rep stan, album staje się lekko monotonny. Po ogłoszeniu konceptu leśnej wiedźmy Taylor liczyłam też na trochę żywsze kawałki. Folklor jako gatunek to pełne pole do popisu, ale Tay obrała sobie inną ścieżkę fantastyki, którą również doceniam. Myślę, że taka odskocznia od kolorowego Lover samej Taylor dobrze wyjdzie na wizerunku.
    Podsumowując, Folklore obiektywnie jest zdecydowanie na podium albumów Swift. Wielu uważa go za najlepszy, ja natomiast potrzebuję więcej czasu na oswojenie się z nim, bo ciężko jest mi wybrać piosenki, które zrobiły na mnie większe wyrażenie. Myślę, że wina leży w tym, że jest na płycie za dużo „zapychaczy”, a gdyby zmieścić się w 13 solidnych trackach, to album byłby dla mnie mniej nużący.
    Na chwilę obecną do gustu przypadły mi: the 1, cardigan, exile, my tears ricochet, mad woman. Całość: 7/10    … Expand

    Congratulations to Swift, she has given us a new album which shows a high degree of maturity. This entry into the pop / rock, alternative and indie genres is one of the many transformations she has undergone during her career. A relaxing album which deserves the best.

    This is one of the best albums lyrically. Not to mention its calm and soothing sound and melodies. Taylor transitioning from country to pop to alternative proved that she is still on top of her game. A genius album.

    ALBUM OF THE YEAR!!! Taylor's most mature and most cohesive album yet. Moreover, she has re-invented herself yet again but this time, she didn't change because she felt like she needed to stay relevant and interesting. She changed because she earned it and it was a natural change with time. If folklore doesn't win AOTY, i will be MAD!!!

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
