Jul 18, 2017Jungle Rules is full of summer vibes, and makes a perfect addition to not only Frenchie's catalogue but any summer playlist--which is to say it was worth the wait.
-
Jul 25, 2017What hampers Montana the most on Jungle Rules are the album’s most compelling features--the actual features. While his ear for strong cameos remains a key ingredient to his success, it’s also taking away from his artistry. Montana can certainly make a song but guest stars shouldn’t be constantly stealing the shine from the headline act.
-
Jul 18, 2017At 18 tracks, Jungle Rules is too long, but provides the “playlist generation” with bangers to choose from.
-
Jul 18, 2017Often, Montana gets lost in the guest shuffle, but of the six tracks where he's riding solo, he showcases his own skills well enough.
-
Jul 27, 2017French’s tendency for repetitive subject matter and lack of a distinct rhyme or reason in terms of the type of creative direction that solidifies an artist as an entity of their own leaves a bit to be desired from Jungle Rules. Those missteps aside, Jungle Rules is a quality long player with a few worthwhile peaks, in spite of its valleys.
-
Jul 27, 2017French’s flow and character may be the same as his previous works, but his stature within the rap world has rocketed.
-
Jul 18, 2017Even though there's little to nothing of intellectual nourishment for the majority of "Jungle Rules," there are slick songs like the Beat Billionaire produced Young Thug feature "Black Out" that you can literally do just that to.
