    All in all, there's ample material on here for fans, even if Mount Ninji lacks a lot of the bite that made albums like Ten$ion and Donker Mag so fresh and exhilarating.

    These songs, plus several others, are ultimately frustrating because they never achieve Die Antwoord’s self-professed new direction. Even more frustrating, the few tracks that try something different end up being some of the group’s strongest material to date.

    Unfortunately, Mount Ninji is an album that’s too obnoxious when it’s not boring and too boring when it’s not obnoxious; there’s seldom a competent middle ground and over the span of an hour, it doesn’t hit a single stride.

    Look, Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid is an amazing album, you know, I believe this album is their most mature material, and it's prettyLook, Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid is an amazing album, you know, I believe this album is their most mature material, and it's pretty cool.
    On the first part of the album it was everything okay, like, the Die Antwoord that everyone knows, but in the last four tracks, you stay like, "this is really interesting". It's an album to listen more than one time, to see the real strength and good parts of this album.
    And I like the song "Wings On My Penis", come on guys, it's just a kid, talking about his penis, like, a lot of children talk about it, it's kind of funny and nostalgic.
    I think Mount Ninji And Da Nice Time Kid it's an amazing album, and it deserves more than it is receiving.

This album, compared to the rest are more popish and radio-friendly. There is less rap, I think. Producers did a very good job. Even knowing this is the best record Die Antwoord has released so far, it still has very trashy and childish lyrics. Of course the humor is important in the album, the intro track "We Have Candy" does it well; the opera singers in the background makes it very comic and in a good way... but tracks like "Wings on My Penis", sung by a weird prepubescent kid, are just too much. Even though, I tried to listen to the beat and forget about the lyrics — sadly, a hard thing to do —, and there are pretty good ones on the album, "Banana Brain" may be the best one, but "Stoopid Rich", "Street Light" and "Gucci Coochie" also have cool beats and it kind of make it easy to listen to. The high points of the album are "Rat Rules (feat. Jack Black)" and the outro track "I Don't Care", which ones have not bad lyrics at all, this first one has a good dark feeling to it, and the second is actually pretty cute... "Mount Ninji and da Nice Time Kid" is a weird piece of... art? Or you love it, or you hate it.… Expand
