    A pop perfection by Gomez. This album is pop gold, and Gomez's breathy vocals adds a soothing texture to every song. Taylor Swift' 1989 has officially found it's successor and it's 'Rare ' A cohesive masterpiece. Gomez just keeps amazing us with every album.

    Fresh, new, all the songs have a strong bass melody which reminds us of "Bad Liar". The instrumental are modern but have a vintage vibe.
    The lyrical content is mature, personal, deep. Definitely her best album.

    A cohesive, well put together album, showing that albums should not be rushed, but should be a thoughtful process. Gomez moves away from the generic sound every pop girl is going for nowadays, showing how it is okay to move away from this sound and discover your own. The album was definitely worth the wait!

    Never done before; sonically the record is so cohesive and fresh. Truly her best best work to date - surpassing the already acclaimed "Revival". Selena's vocals have never sounded so crisp and breathtaking and the lyrical content is absolutely astounding.

While sounding like perfect boppy pop the lyrics dive deeper into what selena went through and how she came out of everything victoriously. It's not what we expect it to be. The lyrics are great, the production is outstanding, her vocals improved SO MUCH, every song sounds fresh and unique, and the album is VERY cohesive. This is what happens when you gain creative control over your art. A Grammy worthy album for sure! I'm very proud of Selena and this album will be kept on repeat daily.

    I was very hyped about Selena's new music and I was ready to stream it for maybe a couple of hours when it dropped, especially the songs that I really liked, but what I didn't expect was to be hit with bop after bop in the album.
    I loved the album because it is fun and sweet, all the songs speak in some way about self-love and growth, yet it's so danceable and beautiful

    the versatility in this album is incredible. every single track sounds different, in the best way possible. it was definitely worth the five year wait. selena gomez is an extremely talented and versatile artist; her musical and vocal growth is very much evident in this masterpiece of an album. rare album of the decade

    Rare is a pop perfection. Every single song is different & unique. It's sonically, vocally & lyrically amazing. A very cohesive album, Selena shows us once again how she's not afraid to try new sounds & take risks, which I love most about her as an artist overall.

    This is hands down her best piece of work. The first album where I can confidently say there are no skips. Every song is a little masterpiece of its own. It’s obvious that she’s matured a lot since her previous album, you can see it in the lyrics (which she co-wrote) and the melodies. I also really love her voice here. All in all, a wonderful, well-rounded album.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
