    a great album with lyrics that fit perfectly and reflect the most human and real side of the singer, I exceed my expectations that by the way were very high, the best of Selena a promise of the current music that has found a more final sound with her melodic voice.

    Gomez experiments with different sounds but by also being consistent with the message all around which is about self-love, knowing your worth, and that its not going to be okay each time. She collabs with 6lack and kid cudi for interesting sounding songs that makes sense to the album. Selena gomez presents her best work till date. Rare.

    This is hands down the best album by Selena Gomez, she saved pop music. I’m so incredibly proud of her, she made sure that this was her best album lyrically. I can’t even choose a favourite because it’s that good.

    The album went way above my expectations. Each track feeling fresh even the already heard songs like “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look At Her Now”. I enjoyed all songs because they touched in different areas of music but in the end, all perfectly synced together. I felt some groovy and disco touches on some tracks that gave me feels of Donna Summer and A Taste of Honey. In other tracks, theThe album went way above my expectations. Each track feeling fresh even the already heard songs like “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look At Her Now”. I enjoyed all songs because they touched in different areas of music but in the end, all perfectly synced together. I felt some groovy and disco touches on some tracks that gave me feels of Donna Summer and A Taste of Honey. In other tracks, the production felt incredibly mastered and fit perfectly with her voice. Selena really did incredible with this album and I absolutely loved how versatile she was over these 13 tracks! From R&B, to Bollywood to Disco, Rare was truly one of the albums I’m going to listen to repeatedly. Gomez really went above and beyond on this one and made me extremely excited for what’s to come next.… Expand

    This is the most versatile album Selena has ever created. There is a song everyone can find themselves to enjoy. At certain moments you can find her going to 80-90s music, her experimenting with electro pop, and even R&B sounds. I noticed she tried a different approach with her vocals & production and that’s exactly what we all wanted to hear. Highly recommend.

    The album Isco sure her best body of work. Her voice has never sounded so amazing and confident, the songs make up a cohesive album with a new and fresh sound different to bubblegum pop a lot of singers are going for. You can really feel Selena’s emotions and connect with her through mature lyrics. Amazing done selena!

    The entire album is a masterpiece, now i understand why she made us wait that much. In this album we can find the most strong, vulnerable and happier version of her! She actually take part of all the songs' writing process which is amazing and you can clearly see that because of the mixing feelings. Definitely a good way to start the year, thank you Selena for raising the level.

    it’s incredible she has her individual sound that’s inspired by a retro 70s sound it’s very smooth and incredible. the lyrics and the scenarios this album deals with are very important. selena has really grown up on this album. this album has r&b influences, jazz, latin etc. it also includes perfect features.

    Great album enjoyable from the beggining to the fin, Ring song is latin infused it's a great choise if you ask me, she allowed to make latin music and not everyone is allowed to do so, Fun is the other track along with Ring some people don't like but it's not bad it's a chill song you can enjoy yo set on mood, everything else is or dance infused or Urban/rnb inspired songs so would like it better

    This album is worth the wait. All songs just fit right in and there are no skips. Everything is a bop. Selena does not need to belt out hight notes to convey her message. Her emotions on each songs are enough for her to tell the story she is trying to deliver in this album. This album is her best and the best among her contemporaries.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
