    The single in this album (Breatin ,NTLTC, GIAW) is the best song from her but for me the songs in the album is lack of replay value such as Sweetener,TLIC, Successful and Blazed. I think this is not her best album because she produce the album with Pharrell Williams.

    I feel this albums production can be decent on some songs as Pharrell has a unique style of production that comes down to personality taste but some tracks definitely don’t make sense at all. Borderline and Sweetener are quite messy and the track ‘the light is coming’ is very questionable, both meaning, and production wise.     On this album, Ariana came up with a new sound, unlike anything she had ever done. Without a doubt, it is the most cohesive album of her career. She made no mistake for giving us this album and I am proud of her for doing this amazing job.

    Ariana definitivamente saiu da zona de conforto do pop genérico do Max Martin e fez um álbum totalmente diferente do habitual e do que estamos acostumados. Desde do início da carreira fazendo um som que se destacasse dentre as outras cantoras, Grande apenas se consolidou mais com o Sweetener, onde de fato está tudo doce.

    The album isn't as well polished or extravagant as thank u, next, but there are some elements of this album that are really enjoyable. The album feels all over the place and I'd argue the musical directions feel a bit forced and uncomfortable for Ariana, but it's still a pop album that makes most look very bland.

    At first listening, I didn't really like the album. But it grows on you as you listen to every song. Not catchy, and it didn't left a mark on me, but it's the kind of album you listen once and again because you actually enjoyed, not because it is a mix of bubblegum pop songs.

Although it is a very cohesive album, there are some songs that are amazing and others that are just not it; some of the production lacks that "Ariana" feel.     don't get me false, i like sweetener n its style. but.. the other albums have just a better personality, story...... just better songs. there's no song in sweetener which makes BANG. the other albums did. of course im glad she won a grammy for that but its pathetic (sorry, not sorry) that dangerous woman didn't. im a big arianator but sweetener disappointed me.

    Apesar de não ser o melhor álbum da Ariana na minha opinião, eu vejo que o Sweetener é o álbum mais sincero dela e o mais conceitual, aborda temas de feminismo, ansiedade, superação... Acho que as pessoas deveriam pesquisar um pouco mais sobre o Sweetener e ver o quanto ele é um álbum sincero e cheio de significados..

    Sweetener can sometimes be bitter at first, but it can be a good job in the course of your listening. Although their vocals are impeccable, some songs leave something to be desired, especially those featuring songs.

    I don't know what people see in this album. I took the time to listen to this awful mess and regret it completely. The only reason why she is so 'successful' is because of a series or unfortunate events and that she chose her singles wisely. All the other songs have no replay value. Would not recommend.

    I think it is fair to say that we knew that Ariana was never going to top Dangerous Woman this era after 'no tears left to cry'. However in saying that, Sweetener is a close second to that album. The album is different to what listeners got to know from Ariana's last 3 eras. I think the laidback attitude of the album helps exude the whole theme of 'sweetening' tragic events so toxicI think it is fair to say that we knew that Ariana was never going to top Dangerous Woman this era after 'no tears left to cry'. However in saying that, Sweetener is a close second to that album. The album is different to what listeners got to know from Ariana's last 3 eras. I think the laidback attitude of the album helps exude the whole theme of 'sweetening' tragic events so toxic relationships, the terrible Manchester Attack. My personal favourites are 'God is a woman' and 'sweetener'. However in saying this, I don't think that trap suits Ariana.     One of the worst albums of 2018. Very disappointed considering Ariana would go same way like with DW. Manchester and Relationships falling apart and all this PR stunts makes her only worse and worse...

    Biggest let down of 2018. Cringeworthy lyrics and bad production. Pure noise. Really tried to like it but it didn't work. Giving a few points for breathin, giaw and successful.

    I appreciate Grande's experimental take on this new project, and personally, I think this album is one of her best. The experimental take would go too far in some of the songs, making them either horrid or boring to the ear.
    Best tracks: the light is coming, God is a woman, everytime, breathin, no tears left to cry, goodnight n go, pete davidson, get well soon
    Worst tracks: REM, better off

    The Sweetener had its side to explore new waves and this gave until certain, however the album of this type has much that evolves and does not become a tiring thing! The vocals on this album are impeccable, lacking an essence in the songs. Ariana is in her prime, and for sure if she invests in it and evolves as much as it evolved it will be awesome!

    God is a woman, no tears left to cry, the light is coming are the only songs that make the difference for me. The rest is just okay. Nothing wow, nothing awful, just a cute album. Listenable.

    Soft and powerful, delightful and empowered this is what we can call ''sweetener'' her most mature album, sounded differently of her latest works, the R&B calls out so differently and beautiful, the lyrics are so personal and more meaningful than ever.

    Ariana Grande evolved when making the album. The lyrical content is improved a lot. The album is obviously divided into 2 parts: Pharrell's part and the other part. It is glad to see that Ariana attempts different styles. Nevertheless, most of these songs are not very successful. Blazed(5/10) and Botherline(5/10) are insipid. The Light is Coming is a little bit repetitive andAriana Grande evolved when making the album. The lyrical content is improved a lot. The Light is Coming is a little bit repetitive and weird(6/10).(MV is pretty bad) REM has the potential to be a bop but the breath sound is annoying(7/10). So does Sweetener(8/10 because some of the parts are really good). Successful is actually good(8.5/10). Get well soon is unexpected but overall it is fair(8/10). For the second part, the tracks are more like the original Ariana. Most of the tracks are bops. The best track is absolutely Breathin and the meaning behind it is wonderful(10/10). Everytime is cute especially the laughter in the end(9.5/10). Raindrops is a great intro(9.5/10 Ariana is always good at making intro). God is a woman is powerful(10/10). No tears left to cry is a grower(9.5/10). Goodnight n go is beautiful especially the finale of the tone(10/10). Better off is cute(9.5/10). Pete Davidson is sweet but too short(9/10). Overall it is good but not perfect. In my opinion, Dangerous Woman is more catchy despite the lyrical content is not good.… Expand

    Un álbum realmente diferente a lo que normalmente Ariana hace, sonidos nuevos, frescos y una letra ya mas personal, me encanta esta nueva etapa de Ariana y la felicito por este GRAN ÁLBUM, ME ENCANTA!

    This album had great potential, but lyric choices, lack of cohesion, and the weak start to the album after Raindrops are the downfall of the album. The album had quality highs however, my top picks are R.E.M, she makes beautiful use of her lower register for the first time in her career I believe, giving the song an enjoyable laid back sound, and No Tears Left To Cry which is pop gold, aThis album had great potential, but lyric choices, lack of cohesion, and the weak start to the album after Raindrops are the downfall of the album.     Grande’s new sound, the Williams-produced Not-Bangers, only make up half of the album. These standout tracks are interspersed between standard pop tracks. ... That’s not to say that the Bangers on Sweetener are bad--it’s more that they belong in previous era of Grande and they spoil the flow between songs. Sweetener may not be the dawning of a new age for Ariana but it could be a step towards somewhere weird and wonderful.

    Ms. Grande backs up her statements with song-and-dance mastery. ... She’s her own choir, support group and posse. While a few guest vocalists (Mr. Williams, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott) provide a little grit for contrast, Ms. Grande sails above any fray, past or present. Her aplomb is her triumph.
