  • Summary: A double album of previously unreleased tracks from the late rapper Tupac Shakur, bringing his total of posthumous releases to four (with a fifth planned for Fall 2001). The songs were recorded during the sessions for 1996's 'Makaveli.'

Too often here, post-mortem producers dilute his power with garish backup singers and pop hooks. [4/20/2001, p.72]
  2. So, even the fact that these 29 tracks, including 3 remixes, have sometimes been re-produced, re-jigged and finely honed production-wise doesn't diminish the original effort involved.
  3. Still, no matter how many of these admittedly incredible rhymes end up surfacing over time thanks to his mother's part-earnest, part-exploitative efforts, the bottom line is that 2Pac never finished these songs -- there are a few fully developed songs here worth marveling over, just not nearly enough to justify the album's double-disc length
  4. The problem isn't so much that this album sounds dated (not surprising, as it was recorded back when Lil Bow Wow was in pre-K), but rather that the songs are so poorly mixed and produced...
  5. Multitracked to death, Until the End of Time lacks the intensity that made the original Makaveli's Don Killuminati: The Seven Day Theory so brash and exciting.
  6. 40
What saves what sounds from beginning to end like an extremely quick buck -- via material on a music equivalency level of farts and burps -- is Shakur's provocative presence, so urgent in both decadence ("Good Life") and desperation ("This Ain't Livin'") that he still seems here, at least in the spirit of his lyrics.
  7. Heavy on outside contributions and certainly missing 2Pac's editorial control and final production decisions, Until the End of Time bops and weaves from peak to valley in schizophrenic fashion.

Letter 2 My Unborn, My Closest Roaddogz, When Thugz Cry, Until The End of Time, Lastonesleft are among some of my favorite songs ever. I thinkLetter 2 My Unborn, My Closest Roaddogz, When Thugz Cry, Until The End of Time, Lastonesleft are among some of my favorite songs ever. I think this album definitely has some filler as it is a double-disk album but I honestly enjoy every song on the album, I actually liked the added beats in **** Nature and U Don't Have To Worry, I think it complimented his vocals well. Amazing album. Best-selling rap album in 2001 and for good reason, Pac's vocals are always amazing so to be rejuvenated under new productionAmazing album. Best-selling rap album in 2001 and for good reason, Pac's vocals are always amazing so to be rejuvenated under new production is always a good thing. I think many people don't like the album because they want the old Pac but Pac unfortunately is dead so this is the best we have and definitely isn't a disgrace to his legacy, it's keeping him relevant, keeping his name on the streets.

A solid album. With good remixes of previous unfinished material like Breathin' , This ain't livin and LastOnesLeft. What they did withA solid album. With good remixes of previous unfinished material like Breathin' , This ain't livin and LastOnesLeft. What they did with Breathin' is so good compared to the original. Next to all the remixes there are still original pieces like **** with the Wrong **** and Runnin'on E. Some rare and never heard before verses like My Closest Roaddogz second and third verse. And unfortunately some terrible remixes like U Don't Have 2 Worry, Why U Turn On Me and All Out. These last three songs were not pac's style, the original unreleased versions are much better.

While in most of these songs you can really feel makaveli shine, this is due to the fact the masterpieces on this album was created by Johnny J. The final score is lowered by some poorly finished songs that do not match makaveli's voice. But I am glad most of this enormous album is good. It is one of the biggest albums from the early 2000's.

The following album, produced by EMINEM. Is probably the worst 2pac album created. Eminem might be glad he didn't live to see that stuff being released. Loyal to the game and Pac's life KILLED makaveli. He deserved a spectacular ending, not a robbed grave.
