Jun 19, 2018However carefully crafted the words or melodies may be, there’s an air of anything-can-happen to Frog Eyes songs. They are certainly always haring off in unexpected directions.

May 21, 2018A return to/remaining within form where Carey’s freewheeling guitar and (thankfully) sandblasted and virtuosic voice beam at us from our speakers in triumphant denouement.

May 21, 2018It’s not the most high-profile roster. ... All the same, Mercer, Campbell, Upton and Seller are as compelling a lineup as Frog Eyes have had, and the foursome has made an album that exerts a powerful gravitational pull. While it’s a shame Violet Psalms is their farewell, it’s hard to imagine a more triumphant way to go.
