    This is perhaps the most danceable "smart" record ever. Or, maybe this is the smartest dance record ever…? ...Whatever it is, it works... beautifully.

    Volcanic Sunlight, despite its sharp contrast from Niggy Tardust, is an absolutely fitting follow-up; it's Williams once more wriggling out of preconceived notions by subverting them entirely.

    Even though "Volcanic Sunlight" sounds explosive and blinding, it turns out to be quite warm and inviting...It's a pleasant if at times uneven experience.
