All tracks short and sweet, We Come From the Same Place is an exceptional release from a band to watch and who hold great promise.

We Come From The Same Place is an album that often opts for the direct over the obscure, but taken as a whole it evokes something difficult to articulate about life and love. Both musically and lyrically, this album serves as definitive proof that this band is on a roll.

It still sounds like them--just an improved, sharpened up them. And it’s wonderful for it; their best yet.

Morris is lucky to have such a sympathetic group of musicians to play with, and the well-produced combo of words, vocals, and music make We Come from the Same Place another treat for fans of thoughtful, painfully adult indie pop music.

While they may never lose their tendency to peek over their shoulders and tell of the heart-filling past once in a while, and nor should they, it seems that Allo Darlin’ have decided that a step forward can bring a greater, more tangible joy, and for that, they should surely be celebrated.

We Come from the Same Place has less of them [songs] than usual, but without a single misstep; it’s possible that these songs are just not as quick to completely reveal their greatness.

It’s a warm, deeply rooted, familiar statement indicative of a real, earned connection.

We Come From The Same Place is a lyrical wonderland that keeps listeners exploring more with each listen. Indie-pop or not, it's infectious on many levels.

Allo Darling' have become more accomplished since their 2010 debut without losing the intimate charm that make their brand of "real indie" an enduring choice for outsider pop fans. [Nov 2014, p.69]

You can hear [that the songs were written very quickly]; the atmosphere across the album is very constant. However, it makes them very similar by the same standard.

We Come From The Same Place, then, is a delightful record, catchy enough to keep the listener’s attention, and with enough substance for them to return to it time and time again.

Their third album continues in this mild fashion, and though always pleasant, it's often unmemorable.
