    Could not understand what she wanted to do with this album. No matter what, it did not work. Let's wait for the next one. PS: Power should be released as a single urgently.

    El álbum es una pieza de superación y de liberación la cual el publico hace de testigo para ver el cambio y el progreso de un artista, en este caso de la creado "Katy Perry". Haciendo de este un álbum con letras y sonidos nunca antes tocados por la artista; adentrando tantos puntos de vista la cual solo se gana la critica como algo negativo dejando solo 1/3 de algo positivo para esta.

    Her worst album. Katy Perry lost her soul in this work, i can't feel her. Prsim was even more mature. I don't think if she's going to sell again like she did before.

    this is a great album with horrible lyrics but amazing rhythms, fail in everything, doesn't have a style, poorly pop and songs that will become something forgettable

    Este álbum es bastante diferente a todos sus otros trabajos, acercándose sólo un poco a canciones de su álbum anterior "Prism" como "Spiritual", "Ghost" o "Choose Your Battles", pero muy poco.

    This is the best record of the year, the best album vocally and production. The best album of her, I love Teenage Dream but Witness is very good. I can't have bad reviews for Witness, this album is so amazing!

    I do not understand why Katy Perry dosn't move on? She stands still since 2011. Witness is the same album as Teenage Dream, Prism. Swish Swish is Truffle Butter...

    God this new Katy Perry album is f*&king awful.

    I can see why iTunes music is recommending it to me because I do enjoy the occasional pop album (although I am not generally a fan of these big superstar pop albums because they all sound the same). This album however, is all over the show. There is not a single cohesive thread to the entire thing. Not to mention the lyrics are    God this new Katy Perry album is f*&king awful.

    This album however, is all over the show. There is not a single cohesive thread to the entire thing. Not to mention the lyrics are literally cringe-worthy. Most of this sounds like stuff I heard all the way back in 2007 and it wasn't even particularly good then. Now it's just sad.

    I read somewhere that she had coined this phase of her career as "Purposeful Pop". Well if this is what "Purposeful Pop" sounds like then please pass me the club while I bash its head in.

    how is this a 51 i give it a 6 but i thought more people whould like it so i'm giving it a 10 to even the score

    tsunami: it sounds 4/10 this beat sounds like it was made on a phone

    bon appetite: 4/10 why are migos here. wait every single has a disco type beat with a rap verse at the end

    bigger than me: 5/10 i literally can't write anything about this song there's just nothing that stands out very much

    save as draft: 5/10 every person that worked on this song sounds like they were thinking like the writers

    pendulum: 6/10 there's something i like about this song but i just can't quite put my fingers on it

    Stuck in a limbo between attempting to be heartfelt and attempting to be fun, of which it was neither, this annoying work proved to be nothing but a money grab stemming from the monotonous and uninspiring melodies. My Score: 70/180 (Bad) = 3.9/10

I am excited about it because we all know her as Katy Perry who dominates Charts,Sales etc. But honestly, as i listen to this Album i am surprised of having another side of her that shows her Diversity as an artist and her talent to switch and show people another kind of music, music that shows her deep lyricism, and her love for her country. But to be honest, this album is not as great as what the public wants and expect. But to me as i learn and go down deeper into her new music and lyrics i can admit that she worked for this album and she deserves some credits.… Expand

    Album of the year. Songs are filled with emotions. They suit to every mood. It's a completely new story. The story of Katheryn Hudson. Just listen to it and you'll understand how perfect this record is.

    A vast differentiation from Katy's old music. At first listen, it may seem dreary and repetitive, it does take a few listens to warm up, and become accustomed to the different beats and sounds of each song. Half of the album can be added to your playlist for continued listening, with few very leaving an impact.

    4 anos depois do auge do seu último álbum, Katy Perry nos entrega o que talvez seja o álbum mais mediano de sua carreira. Com uma sequencia de singles nada favorecida, o álbum parece ser feito em cima da hora. Mas não se engane, o álbum tem sim momentos de ouro: Save As Draft comprova isso.

    This is Katy's worst album to date. Every song sounds the same, and the production is lifeless. There isn't one song that can be a single, and she isn't challenging herself yet again. It's just the same old same old mediocre Katy.

Não vejo um "Conceito especifico" no Witness, mas sim o amadurecimento tardio de Perry em uma nova era de desafios através de quem ela realmente é. Mesmo como um fã, tenho que admitir que ainda sinto falta de algo quando eu escuto esse album, algo mais marcante que eu sentia nos outros álbuns da Katy, e por incrivel que pareça, acredito que seja canções mais marcantes do que são. Dou destaque total a faixa "Witness" minha grande aposta a Perry, Roullet, Tsunami e Deja Vu também soam bem. Swish Swish tem um verso delicioso, gostoso de ouvir, Temos que levar em conta que Bon Apettit não cabe neste álbum. Ao ouvir "Act My Age" me lembrei da Perry do Teenage Dream, essa faixa soa tão bem...

    This album is a hot mess! I love Katy but nothing matches here, the ballads are weak (usually they are wonderful in her albums) and the song that gives title to the album is a failure. The singles are really the highlights of 'Witness', Pendulum and Power are good though. But they seem to not fit in the concept of the album, if there is one.

    Of course, the best album ever released, Teenage Dream was very childish, but Witness is actually the album I hear without skipping tracks. More of the same in the head of those who think that is a critic of truth.

    is funny when you realize that "music experts" hate Katy but they love Selena gomez or Taylor swift trash. but they are "experts" lol. Denifitely is one ther best albums, new sounds, great beats, great vocals and lyrics. Just a great album.

    Such an amazing comeback from Katy! The four year wait was well worth it. Witness and Pendulum are definitely the two best songs on the album but every song is great!

    This is the first Katy album that can show one insight of the singer's creativity and reinvention. Witness may not be the album completely mature that we were all hoping for, but we have now a clue and a a chance of Katy Perry making footprint in the history of mainstream music, possibly in the future if she keeps pushing her boundaries like she did this time.

    Lazy lyrics, questionable themes, can't even compare to her other albums. In this album Katy try to be serious and mature, but ended up with lyrics like 'i'm my mothers daughter' and 'Marylin Monroe in a monster truck', this lyrics could only be compared with J.Lo's 'i feel good cause i don't feel bad'. Katy should put this in a box and go looking for her next record.

Este álbum es muy maduro por parte de Katy Perry, comienza con una canción fresca y pegadiza y termina con una balada impresionante, a lo largo del disco se encuentran baladas y canciones con un ritmo pegadizo y elegante, va variando y eso es aceptable, quizás no es su mejor álbum de estudio pero es muy bueno, no significa que sin haber una canción que sea un "Hit" va a ser menospreciado, no hay canciones de relleno y cada canción tiene su propia liberación, un propio significado importante para Katy Perry.… Expand

    Her best work. I don't know why the critics didn't liked this. Some songs are such masterpieces, the production are very well and her voice is flawless. The only thing that didn't please me was some lyrics and controversial writing. Like, we have many references to other songs by Katy; Power sounds like Who Am I Living For, by the way. It's an great album, loved it.

    katy eu te amo metacritic vai toma no c* THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM OF 2017! It's refreshing to listen to new Katy Perry tunes that I've been waiting for almost 4 years and it's really worth the wait, this album is very different from her other albums, I'm in love with her vocal because is on point and I think she really outdid herself with WITNESS, I recommended this!

    Her best album til date. Her most linear work, most personal, all tracks seem connected to the concept and all of them deserves to be listened. She really presented something out of her comfort zone. Witness, roulette and swish swish are the highlights for me, but i could mention many others.

    Katy Perry quiso hacer un Joanne, pero sólo logró avergonzarse. Witness no logra ni tocar los talones de Joanne. Me atrevería a decir que quiso hacer una mezcla entre ARTPOP y Joanne teniendo como resultado una asquerosa mezcla de canciones sin pulir que parecen los primeros demos que fueron grabados. Una decepción total. Witness The Tour está siendo todo un fracaso como lo es su disco,Katy Perry quiso hacer un Joanne, pero sólo logró avergonzarse. Witness no logra ni tocar los talones de Joanne.     O álbum é péssimo, nenhuma música com refrão que te faça querer a faixa novamente. O album não tem um conceito definido e não segue uma sequência agradável. As faixas são mal remixadas e as letas muito superficiais.

    Most of the songs in this album are total trash with no sense of rhythm, definitely not music you can dance to. The only one worth listening to is the collab with Nicki, and that's because the beat is awesome and she slays her part. Very disappointed by her new music, hope she gets back to making good pop hits

    I'm shocked that people are giving this heap of steaming dog crap 10 star reviews. I suspect that most of them are teenage Katy Perry stalker fans because this album is embarrassingly bad, especially after the way it was hyped up.     De alguma forma " Witness " soou como uma parada no meio de uma busca por um novo som, uma tentativa não tão bem sucedida, mas que trás algumas músicas boas. "Pendulum", "Hey Hey Hey" e "Save As Draft" são pontos fortes na tracklist, além dos singles "não tão bem sucedido".

    For sure the best album, the lyrics are with an excellent quality, without taking away her voice that is getting better. My highlights are with Roulette, Déjà vu, Swish Swish and my favorite Dance With The Devil that is only available in the deluxe version.

    The worst album of Katy Perry's career. It is disappointing an album that begins with a slight footprint in the title track, witness, go falling while listening to the others. The generic instruments and lack of concept in the album make anyone give up listening to it until the end.

    I really liked this album. It's a different sound for Katy Perry, but I like it. In the album there are many songs that can become hits. Most of all I liked Roulette, De ja Vu, Miss You More, Witness. This is a wonderful album, Katie develops in terms of music

Perry's vocals in some songs are strong, whilst others sound bleak, as if she's not truly in it.

    This is certainly her best album. Lyrically and vocally. This deserves more attention, I don't understand why there are some people who give very bad reviews. Songs like Roulette, Power, Witness, and Pedulum are the tracks that in my opinion stand out the most.

    Spectacular album. A perfect comeback, but as always has some issues.
    Some of the songs sound the same, the worst are "Bon Appétit" and "Swish Swish", the others songs are great. Witness and Prism are my favorite albums of Katy, she always doing a wonderful job.

Making experimental albums are always the riskiest and it’s literally make or break, as we all know with the ‘ARTPOP’ era with Lady Gaga but even then, Gaga managed to get a couple of hits off the album and the album itself debuting at #1, and Katy hasn’t really managed to get a mainstream hit.Unfortunately, I do have to admit that of all Katy Perry albums, this is definitely the worst.     It’s such a shame because all of Katy’s albums have been amazing in their own way, especially with them all sounding slightly different from each other but I think this one has been taken too far off the edge. It screams desperate if I’m honest, and the truth is, is that everyone loves Katy just the way she is so I’m not entirely sure why the big change. There’s no real creative process with this album whatsoever. The lyrics are average, the production as a whole seems cheap and rushed, and I can’t see any future releases of this album becoming a hit either.

    I hope that Katy realises by the albums reaction that maybe taking the risk wasn’t such a smart move, even though she had the balls to do so, it didn’t work, and that by the next album she just goes back to being the Katy that we all know and love and releases hit after hit and an album that we can all enjoy together, because this one has fallen relatively flat unfortunately.    … Expand

    Painful to listen. It's completely a messy production with forgettable clinched lyrics and horrible lifeless sound. There are full of fake emotions but no originality or creativeness at all. This is unforgiven considering 4 years of waiting. What a shocking disaster! The biggest disappointment of the year!

    Katy Perry really topped her previous work with this album. This album showcase Katy's maturity. She stopped trying to make radio hits, and really focused on productions and meaning in her songs. I personally think that this album is her best to date.

    "Witness" is an amazing album. We see the real Katheryn: a strong, conscious woman. The production and her vocals are awesome, while the lyrics have beautiful meanings (something difficult to find today). Guess her first Grammy is finally coming.

The first half of the album is really amazing (only Hey Hey Hey - probably the next single - i didn't liked so much), with strong letters and such good beats (Roulette it's the best of the whole album). The other half it's a little bit slow but still good (Pendulum, i love you) and I really liked the personal letters of "Bigger Than Me", "Act My Age" andKaty returned with a good album. This not work for a single). Congratulations Katy, you made (I think) your second best album (Teenage Dream it's the first and PRISM the third).     With dark beats, "Witness" is a meaningful confection. Amazing lyrically, it makes you open your mind about being yourself, connect with others, really see people, understand them. "I mean, you can see me... But can you really see me?". Katy has matured a lot since her first album. This album is a masterpiece.

    It’s a real shame Witness has come out as a bit of a disjointed mess, as there’s a decent record somewhere in there, but it gets lost in the fog of endless guest productions and co-writes that miss the point entirely.
