    Underrated masterpiece. Katy made an amazing album with different sounds. Witness,Save as draft and Chained to the rhythm are the best songs in this album. Miss Katy, you deserve more with this album.

    Uma viagem. Não é o melhor álbum de Katy Perry, tão longe é o pior, tem propostas maduras (que ela cumpre), tem músicas prontas para serem hits! E outras que ficam confusas e soam inesquecíveis (mas que não deixam de serem faixas boas), sem falar da ótima produção. Vale a pena conferir e testemunhar.

    An album so underrated, this pop is electric, different and the sounds of all the albums have the same vibes. Every song has a deep message, and finally, the lyrics are amazing. This album transports you to another dimension. Very great job Katy! Congratulations. For me, the album of the 2017.

    Witness is the Perry's first album without Dr. Luke. And it can be felt.
    This album takes to itself influences of the current electronic music. The album sounds good, with real personality. Somehow, she managed to bring surprises. Interesting matters, but I didn't like the album cover. Favorite tracks: Chained To The Rhythm, Swish    I was hoping I would be disappointed, but I wasn't.

Y Witness podría tranquilamente ser la declaración de madurez más evidente de Katy Perry como también la más ordinaria hasta la fecha. Abordando temas como los rompimientos, los deseos sexuales, la política y autoestima; Witness termina siendo todo un mensaje poco claro de comprender. Siendo Perry la principal escritora del álbum, se nota desde el primer track el enfoque maduro que la interprete trata adquirir, con liricas más trabajadas pero poco pulidas. “Can I get a Witness? Will you be my Witness?” trata de comprometer al público en torno al coro.

    Hey Hey Hey una canción electropop incomprensible sobre la superación personal y empoderamiento femenino acompañada de un video que roza lo ridículo; una de las peores dentro el álbum junto con Swish Swish. Esta ultima siendo la respuesta burda e insulsa de parte de Perry a comparación de la sutil pero voraz Bad Blood, es una excusa para crear más atención por el álbum y contrarresta el mensaje inicial del LP convirtiéndolo en una montaña rusa que no subir o descender a ningún lado. “Deberías retirarte, eres tan encantadora como un cupón expirado”, Perry replica a Swift. El energético Pendulum, una producción pop góspel, es elegante y alegre. Un clásico y encantador track, como Perry nos tiene acostumbrados. Y las dos únicas composiciones que le hacen frente a toda la producción a medias, son la sensual y oscura Roulette -canción donde sí se podría aplicar la premisa de “sonido oscuro y maduro”- que bien podría ser un Sweet Dreams 2.0; y la elogiada Chained to The Rhythm, primer sencillo del álbum, que es una critica a la sociedad actual en la que vivimos. Una muy buena jugada de parte de Katy para ser tomada más en serio, aunque pobremente valorada. Perry nos demuestra, además, su madurez lirica en Miss You More y su fragilidad sentimental, no obstante, vuelve a perder elegancia en la exagerada y dramática Save As Draft. Y Bon Appétit, una canción sobre ¿canibalismo en la industria musical o sobre como vemos a las estrellas como un producto a consumir?, seguro hay miles de teóricas conspirativas al respecto a las que Katy quiso hacer alusión pero el mensaje queda deformado por la sobre sexualizada letra, aunque el video es entretenido y ofrece buenos visuales. Witness simplemente no termina de decidirse donde ubicarse, el equipo de Perry parece más preocupado en contentar por igual a la base demográfica de sus oyentes que en entregar un álbum solido y consistente que pueda hacer frente a la premisa de “sonido oscuro y maduro”. Porque después de todo, vamos, es Katy Perry, ella puede vender lo que sea; es lo que más de uno imaginaba hasta Witness. Un concepto llamativo pero mal ejecutado. PUNTAJE: 23/100

    Witness é a peça que estava faltando na carreira e musicalidade de Katy Perry. A obra traz consigo vulnerabilidade, consciência e palavras sábias, algo que anteriormente parecia ser evitado nos discos anteriores da artista, que apenas buscava entretenimento e sentimentos aflorados, sem muito envolvimento pessoal. Katy Perry já tem seu legado concretizado na indústria depois de Witness.

    I will never understand why this album is on the bottom of Katy's discography, because I believe this is her most cohesive album. Full of electronic bops, Katy Perry gave us her most deep and honest piece of work to date. Of course, songs like Swish Swish (a bop) could be childish, but we can't ignore songs like Chained to the Rythm, Hey Hey Hey and Witness, that have powerful choirs andI will never understand why this album is on the bottom of Katy's discography, because I believe this is her most cohesive album.     Any album with a killer track like "Deja Vu" deseves praise. That said, Katy has left her charm in the past and this album feels disjointed and emotionless as a result. The gems are overflowing though so one can't complain too much.

    Katy Perry takes us on a pop journey with her fourth studio album. This album is a mix of 'Teenage Dream' and 'PRISM' with a dash of electronic pop production. There are some pacing issues like on her previous album and one or two songs just don't connect with the rest of the album. Her vocals are gorgeous and the production is out of this world, and the lyrical content is the best she'sKaty Perry takes us on a pop journey with her fourth studio album.     One of the best albums of 2017, but unfairly criticized, I confess that the tracks Witness and Pendulum won me first! Most of the songs i only managed to get attached to after listening more carefully. Witness is definitely iconic!

It's definitively not as cohesive in boringness as PRISM, but still lacks something and some songs are copies or other pre-existing ("Into You See Me" it's just a Witness version of "Pearl" ;-;). I like Katy's vocals on this album and how mild some songs are (like "Witness"), and how they sound simply like Katy song (like "Deja Vu"), and messages with them ("Hey HeyIt's an okay album.     This album really gives us a deeper insight into Katy's mind in the past few years. It is criminally underrated and is one of her best records to date. It explores lose, sexuality and coming out of a depressive part of her life as well as having heavy political messages. The singles did not do this album justice. It deserves a higher rating and much more respect.

    There are good songs like "Chained to The Rhythm", "Swish Swish" and "Roulette", but some of them are good after seen them on Witness: The Tour - Tsunami, Hey Hey Hey, etc. I'm sad because a great song like Roulette could be the perfect single to win an Grammy but is not released. The same thing happened with "Legendary Lovers" from PRISM. Sorry, Katy, I'm a katycat but this wasn't a great album.

    Leaving her comfort zone, this woman delivered the best album of her career. Each song comes with great sounds, some sin in production and distorted vocals that sometimes make strip jump, but it still becomes a good album and that you feel strong and witness to love as it says in various parts. The woman she became to feel on every piece of this album, the intimate version makes it good.

    Witness shows a new Katy. She grew up and this album reflect that. It have memorable songs, like Pendulum, Roulette, Witness and Mind Maze but have unmemorable too, like Hey Hey Hey. It´s beautiful see her journey to find a witness (and at the end find it, but in herself). The vocals are envolving, unique and its notable the vocal evolution of Perry.     Acho que foi a forma mais madura e inteligente espelhada em um álbum! Ela aborda temas atuais, fortes críticas, como: - política (chined to the rhythm)
    - sexualização da mulher perante a sociedade machista (bon appetit)
    - poder que o ser humano tem (hey hey hey e power) - e milhões de sensações e críticas sobre a sociedade que nenhuma artista se quer ter e coragem de trazer em forma de    Acho que foi a forma mais madura e inteligente espelhada em um álbum!     Me pareció genial el concepto del álbum aunque debió de ejecutar su promoción mejor. En general un sonido muy adelantado para su época si lo ubiera liberado en 2019 o 2020 creo que ubiera funcionado vocal ente katy suena espectacular y su producción muy alternativa perfecta para u. Katy que busca cambio después de las escuchas te atrapa totalmente y me parece espectacular esperar que paraMe pareció genial el concepto del álbum aunque debió de ejecutar su promoción mejor.     Um álbum injustiçado pelo público, não entendo o motivo de tanto ódio com essa era. A única faixa que não me desceu foi "mind maze", gosto bastante da letra porque fala sobre saúde mental, mas não da produção. Pendulum é o auge do álbum, amo a letra, produção, os vocais e o coral fundo.

    The album is not the best in his entire artistic career, it contains a good mix of sounds, something that makes it particular, Katy experiments with new ideas, new tones, new melodies, in general the album is good.

    Bye-bye Katy? What have they done to you? Or it's just your fault? I really don't know but the album is totally the worst that I have ever listened. Collaboration with Migos could sound very good but if it was solo by Katy... The lead single gave me some hopes but when album dropped i was shocked.

    A very well produced album, mature and full of engaging rhythms and strong lyrics. It does a little bit on a few tracks, but nothing that takes away the brilliance of what it purports to bring. Bigger Than Me and Bon Appétit my favorite tracks.

    Witness pode não ter sido aclamado, mas não deixa de ser ótimo. Uma sonoridade viciante e gostosa de ouvir e letras poderosas que vão direto ao ponto. O único problema ao meu ver nesse álbum da Katy são a falta de inspirações em algumas músicas. Não é um álbum ruim, mas não chega nem perto de ser o melhor álbum dela.

    I think that Witness is a great album, but nota the best of Katy. If you listen it, every song has a important message.
    Roulette is the must powerful song, a hit!

    Uma obra prima a frente do seu tempo que mostra uma evolução musical da Katy. Nesse álbum vemos vários assuntos de extrema importância sendo abordados. Katy Perry entregou um trabalho excelente mas infelizmente não teve o devido reconhecimento que merecia.

    This is the best album of 2017 for sure, Katy Perry served a good work this time. Also, this is pop perfection and it reminds me of 2010, it has good and dark vibes. Congrats Katy!

    WITNESS IS THE MOST UNDERRATED ALBUM OF ALL TIME! My favorite of all time, every song has a great lyrics and absolutely some catchy ass bops are also not exotic for Witness, she tried to save pop but you slept on that album cuz she cut her hair

    This album has terrible songs (Power), bad songs (Swish Swish) and good songs (Roulette). Only 5 songs can be called good. The bad-terrible songs are way overproduced.

    While it's certainly missing any form of coherency, Witness does feel like you're growing with Perry - going on this journey that's helped her find new ground and a reinvigorated appreciation for all walks of the pop music spectrum.

    It’s a real shame Witness has come out as a bit of a disjointed mess, as there’s a decent record somewhere in there, but it gets lost in the fog of endless guest productions and co-writes that miss the point entirely.
