    Um ótimo álbum e conceitual, porém não é melhor trabalho de Perry.
    Roulette e Miss You More foram as que mais chegaram perto do que Katy fez nos seus álbuns anteriores.

    She took a risk, and you can not take it back from her.

    Lyrically it is far from her best work in my opinion. Some metaphore are as if she tried too hard. "Figure out the Rubik's Cube" "You suck my hope up in a vacuum" "You're 'bout as cute as An old coupon expired" for exemple. The production of the songs, taken individually, are excuisite.     The production of the songs, taken individually, are excuisite. I'd give 10/10 for the album if it was all about the productions. Swish Swish has one of the best production i've ever heard. She set a mood and a tone, wich fit perfectly with her visual. Good job for that.

    Finally an other negative point, was the album's songs order. It didn't made it for me. It's very good from the beggining to the mid adlbum. After miss you more, its too much ups and down in an uncontroled way. CTTR (up), Tsunami (down), Bon Appetit (up), Bigger Than me, Save As Draft (down), Pendulum (up), Into me you see (down).
    I love the idea of a slow and calm song at the end of an album, it's a technique that always worked (its very much effective in Taylor Swift's Reputation), but when it follows that kind of emotional roller coaster, I think it's pretty uneffective.

    WITNESS is Katy Perry's most mature and elaborated album. The lyrics are strong and empowered. Songs like "Swish Swish" and "Power" shows us that she has the control on her own life. Great productions by DJ Mustard and Max Martin will make this album iconic and unforgettable. Not the most successful album of Katy, but there's no doubt that this is the best one so far.

    Her best work to date. The hate bandwagon for this album is absolutely tiring. The album is a great experimental pop record with great songwriting. In this album Katy experiments with different genres (dance hall, trap-pop, disco, EDM, house), different producers and brings in more political and personal lyrics than any of her previous albums. A highlight of 2017.

However, what we hear in this album is that Katy just didn’t take the album tracks serious, and even Power had no power to save the album, the only reasonable song was Chained To The Rhythm. It seems like she produced songs aimlessly, and a lot of tracks in one song are unnecessary. The songwriting, however, is too simple. Her voice is also mediocre.     Amazing album! All these reviews are utter garbage. When you listen to the production and lyrics, they smoothly melt into your ears to create a concoction of emotions and feeling. Truly an album worth buying and listening to. Some interesting sounds that Katy has experimented with. Hopefully she will bring back some of these elements in her upcoming 2019 album. 10/10! Deserves a higher rating.

    You have to listen Witness twice if you want to really appreciate some songs. Despite being a experimental production-songwriting mess, the record ends up bringing to us a few decent songs, that (obviously) you can't dance to but they still are enjoyable.

    En esencia su peor trabajo. Sí bien los anteriores pueden llenarse la boca con ser "exitosos" con ritmos sumamente pegadizos, buena producción y medianamente buenos liricamente, este solo quiso jugársela a lo "oscuro y maduro". El problema con Katy era que cuando gustaba en sus anteriores trabajos era fuerte, luchadora de una causa, con voz adulta y segura, pero en otras infantil, boba,En esencia su peor trabajo. Sí bien los anteriores pueden llenarse la boca con ser "exitosos" con ritmos sumamente pegadizos, buena producción y medianamente buenos liricamente, este solo quiso jugársela a lo "oscuro y maduro". El problema con Katy era que cuando gustaba en sus anteriores trabajos era fuerte, luchadora de una causa, con voz adulta y segura, pero en otras infantil, boba, inmadura y con mensajes sexuales tontos y comerciales. Con Witness paso todo eso pero en 1 sólo disco. Quiso ser madura, dar voz al movimiento feminista, hablar sobre su dolor y más, pero involucró ritmos tontos, que buscaban ser infantiles pero a la vez no lo querían y una producción confusa y sin rumbo, aunado a la sensación que en un afán de querer hacer algo diferente quiso hacer en parte lo mismo y termino no haciendo nada arruinando todo. Sin contar el tema de política y de contradecirse en que ella no busca pelearse o dar importancia a comentarios sobre ella. E inevitablemente el peor error del disco: Migos y Swish Swish, que es hasta cansado y repetitivo hablar sobre estos dos desaciertos. Solo 2 baladas de este álbum se salvan y después de tanto escucharlas se vuelven aburridas, cutres y planas. Una era que sí bien marco un cambio en ella no fue cómo se esperaba quedado un 30% bueno y 70% malo. 4.5 para Katy Perry… Expand

    Un excelente álbum, el cual te da un viaje en su historia, que contiene una gran falencia: la elección de los singles. Pero en general hay para todos los gustos. Personalmente creo que es un álbum muy infravalorado y que merece mucho más reconocimiento del que tiene.

    A musical experience from start to finish. Fantastic lyrics. No song on that album is even close to being below an 8. Favorites: Power, Bon Appetit and Chained To The Rythm, which was the lead single and as always a massive success for Perry.

    Um álbum realmente muito bom, infelizmente só consegue ser entendido por pessoas inteligentes, por isso foi tão odiado. Mind Maze, Bonna Petit e Hey Hey Hey são as mais ruinzinhas. O resto é ótimo!

    This album is pure pop perfection and might be the best album of 2017. Katy truly made a masterpiece with this album, every song is unique and the production is ahead of it’s time. It consists of outstanding tracks such as ”Power”, ”Roulette” and ”Witness”. The track ”Witness” is the perfect first track for the album. This album is definitely worth listening to.

    It is one of the best albums released in 2017, with a sound that appeals to the ears as in Déjà-vu, Witness and Dance With The Divel. The album and Katy Perry really did not deserve bad approval from the public and media, the "failure" of the singer's fourth album is not for the supposed "poor quality" of it, which is nonexistent. But rather, by the persuasion and persecution against Katy.

    Witness isn't good, its really bad when you think about it. The quality of her songs dropped to the floor by the time this album was released. I used to enjoy the hits but now she has gotten much worse than expected.

Chained To The Rhythm, Power, and Witness are all high points of this record with how bold, catchy, and personal songs all these three songs are. Swish Swish was alright (I do like the groove and the Nicki feature), Bon Appetite is rather a guilty pleasure, and Tsunami was pretty neat, but then the album takes a nose dive. Hey Hey Hey has cringy lyrics and tries so hard to have an alt pop and dream pop kind of sound but fails. Mind Maze while being unique and different, the autotune is a major turnoff. The rest of the album is forgettable, yes even the ballads, and tries way to hard to be woke.… Expand

    Um álbum que mostra uma outra face da popstar que com tanto pouco tempo de carreira conseguiu feitos inimagináveis para uma iniciante.
    Em 'witness' Katy Perry desmonta a imagem da hitmaker de eras passadas e nos mostra sua face mais humana, outro aspecto interessante é sua posição política, algo que vemos com clareza nas faixas 'chained to the rhythm' e 'bigger than me'.

    Witness album by Katy Perry is a great disappointment for me. Not because it failed to deliver but because of her team's decisions. I liked the album and some of the tracks, I loved. Although I feel like 2 or 3 tracks felt like filler, it is still on par with the other pop girls in the music industry. It felt very personal and Katy showed her vulnerability in some of her tracks here and I just loved it as much as I loved the peculiar flavor delivered by her especially my favorite in the album, the track "Power".     Witness is a down-trodden, weak pop record that stands as a major blemish in Katy's discography. It tries to be empowering and woke, but ends up failing for Katy, as she sacrifices personalty with generic lyrics and production.

    Este álbum demuestra la madurez de Katy Perry demostrando que ella se reinventa y no se estanca en solo sonidos iguales a sus anteriores trabajos.
    Witness da un concepto de superación y autoestima que cada uno debe seguir y luchar por ellos.
    Lastimosamente no fue tomado muy bien por los críticos, ella se merece aun mas.

    In my opinion it is a very good album. It's the first time that Katy leaves her sweet pop rhythm and makes more electronic music, darker. It has very good tracks with the exception of "Hey Hey Hey" and "Pendulum".

    Katy has always been more of a singles artist than an albums artist. Her albums have always been carried by the singles. The singles on here are nowhere near as good as on her previous albums, and for the some reason this album is far longer. The result is that this is quite dull and lifeless.

    Personally, I find an album full of reflections and teachings, it's a great job, compared to their other albums is not the best and it is also an album that bores sometimes, but without a doubt it is a great album

Katy se arriesgó mucho con este nuevo álbum, Witness es un trabajo completamente diferente a sus tres trabajosUno de sus mejores trabajos musicales de todas su carrera, Katy supo renovarse en esta nueva era llamada "Witness". Witness cumple con todo lo que YO espero en un disco pop/electro. Canciones pop bien logradas, baladas hermosas, bailables increíbles, todo eso y mucho más. Katy se arriesgó mucho con este nuevo álbum, Witness es un trabajo completamente diferente a sus tres trabajos anteriores, es un gran paso hacia una nueva Katy.

    La producción bajo este álbum es absolutamente increíble, sus sonidos electrónicos y su Deep house de los 80 fueron un gran punto en la producción de este material, donde más podemos apreciar el trabajo de producción es en las canciones:

    - Mind Maze
    - Roulette
    - Power
    - Bigger That Me

    En sus líricas podemos ver a una Katy Perry sincera e inspiracional, ya que aunque toca su lado más profundo no es excusa para sentirse mal, Katy sabe manejar las emociones de su trabajo con una gran puntualidad.

    Quiero dar una observación a "Chained To The Rhythm" (lead single de la era Witness), me levanto a aplaudirle a Katy Perry por la valentía y las garras de lanzar un tema político en medio de una era muy tensa en Estados Unidos. Katy ama a sus fans, me doy cuenta en "CTTR", dando a dar la mirada que tiene ella del mundo, y quererla expresar con sus fans. Muy bien Katy!

    A decent pop album. There are some songs that don't quite catch on but the rest is not bad at all. I personally think it's a massive improvement over her previous album, as Prism's 2nd half was very skippable for me. While I think this album is good, it still doesn't fully warrant waiting 4 years for it.

    Easily Katy's worst album to date and highly disappointing after Prism was so good. Bizzare songs and collaborations, stupid lyrics, I really feel like she started to grow as an artist with Prism and then took a huge step down with Witness.

    Katy Perry is a great and authentic artist. You can see it when you listen to her albuns, the same feeling through the years, Prism or Witness, her voice and her message never change.

    While it's certainly missing any form of coherency, Witness does feel like you're growing with Perry - going on this journey that's helped her find new ground and a reinvigorated appreciation for all walks of the pop music spectrum.

    It’s a real shame Witness has come out as a bit of a disjointed mess, as there’s a decent record somewhere in there, but it gets lost in the fog of endless guest productions and co-writes that miss the point entirely.
