    There's nothing new here, but much to love, and if "Tally" makes you think 10 songs by 10 other bands, that's only because it succeeds where they fell short.

    Emotion-wracked, ultra-melodic, and filled with jams (both fast and slow), this is an impressive debut from a band that could easily end up reaching some seriously lofty heights.

    With their reverence for the past and all things twee, C86, and noise pop related, Gold-Bears have their limitations, but luckily, they're already well versed in working their sweet spot.
