    It never reaches for more, and to bludgeon it for achieving its minor ambitions is bizarre practice. It may not leap, but it never stumbles. Calm down, sit back and vibe.

    Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho conveys exactly what fans might expect from two of the hottest trap rappers out. Soaring, robo-rhythmic tunes? Check. Endless braggadocio? Check. A seamless blend of vocoder-tinged singing and cocky flows? Check, check, Nike Swoosh. But don’t expect a structured, meticulous project. Rather, it feels as if La Flame and the Migos leader went into the studio, indulged in the ganja, and all grooviness broke loose.

    Huncho Jack’s liveliness tends to come from everywhere except Quavo and Travis Scott. The protean energy that buoy their respective works are sadly absent.

    Travis and Quavo are two artists that are almost unlikely to not collaborate thrice a year. With this collab being an album, it is interestingTravis and Quavo are two artists that are almost unlikely to not collaborate thrice a year. With this collab being an album, it is interesting to see that it has so little features. However, the production and flows of the duo (along with the sole features of the other members of Migos, Takeoff and Offset) allow their eponymous debut (which ever way it is preferred to be said, be "Huncho Jack" or Jack Huncho" to shorten the name) to hold its own, along with the two of them themselves. 9/10 = A-… Full Review »
