    At the first listen itself I was blown off even without the support of lyrics translation. As j hope said, that was a well constructed storyline, a continuous flow throughout the album, even the intro could be a continuum of Jhope's 'daydream' from hopeworld.     A perfect album with no skip, if you don't know what the artist is singing, there are tons of translations out there for you to read and understand how meaningful this album is to the artist. You need to listen to the album from top to bottom, in order.

    Brilliant as expected. We get to see a very different and almost raw side of Hobi. It feels like a privilege to be able to hear this album, in it's full glory. I've had no doubt that he'd nail it, but nevertheless, I'm very impressed. Thank you for this album Hoseok. It's a masterpiece and we're so proud of you. 10/10

    Jhope ... is amazing. This album shows his versatility and although its not a jhope we are used to seeing ...this album still sounds and feels so familiar that's it's like we knew this side of him all along. I love this "color" of Hobi, you can tell his soul is in this album. I love it

    An incredible album from the street dancer turned rapper. The album flows seamlessly from one song to the next taking the listener on a journey through the artists mind. It is sonically different from jhope's first mixtape, but at the same time uses simar themes. The album is indeed very indicative of jhopes unique style and blend of dance and hiphop.

    I have not stopped listening to this album since it was released. j-hope is such a unique artist - his voice, his lyrics and his flow is something I’ve never heard before. As a big fan of Prince, De Ka Soul, Rage Against the Machine, D’Angelo, David Bowie and BTS, j-hope is up there among the greats. As a live performer, hands down he is the best of the best.

    after I listened to Jack in the Box, I realized that it is not a new side of jhope. it is the depiction of his vulnerabilities that we may have overlooked because we only saw his happy and bright side. This album sounded like a confession.

    Tbh i was busy during my class days but i was really excited to listen hobi's first solo album..this was beyond my expectations. I really i mean i really loved it. I'm not a casual listener of hip hop but i really liked his Arson as well as More.. his b side tracks in jitb are also dope..equal side and safety Zone is my fav b side tracks . it's really intriguing to see how his flowTbh i was busy during my class days but i was really excited to listen hobi's first solo album..this was beyond my expectations.     Obsessed doesn’t even describe how I am currently feeling. I love albums that leaves me questioning for hours what my favorite track is, and Jack in the Box falls exactly under that type of album. Its cool to see an artist try so many different sounds and have a tracklist that connects /this/ well. Well done hobi!

The whole concept was amazing, the way each song tells you a story itself and Jung Hoseok connected them together so beautifully, it isn’t easy to do so, yet he had done it. His lyricsm is on another level, he is so poetic and can convey his messages amazingly. Also he managed to put out many different genres, diving into new ones too and showed his ability to go out of the box and try out new things and show different sides of himself. Everything about this album is great, the titles, lyrics, story behind them, sound, genres, everthing.     This album is so well tied together right from the production aspect, the sequence of the songs, and the storytelling. It provides an insight into the beginning of Jhope, his fears, and desire for growth. I'm so glad that Jhope broke out of the box and is embracing new genres and visual elements. Here, J-Hope really experimented with music styles he hadn't used much before... it's a perfect insight into the person Jung Hoseok and the artist J-Hope. While the music itself is really immaculate, the lyrics of this album also are beautiful - the title tracks are full of his passion and ambition, about his love for his artistry and the ways he has matured and been influenced throughout his musical journey till now, but also about the inevitable darkness that comes with his line of work and how he embraces it...but as you keep listening to the album, you will find out that while the main character is definitely J-Hope, there are also a lot of words that are actually very relatable to life and people in general, but not in a way that makes you feel down...rather it's the opposite, it's actually really comforting - the way he tells his story, speaks his thoughts out makes the listener feel warm and comforted...     J-Hope is an amazing person. His writing style is versatile. The beats he makes are really incredible. Jack in the box album is a great example to show the talent of jhope as an artist. My favourite album.

This one's concept is a bit different from his first mixtape 'Hope World', but the vibe and meaning of his songs are there. My personal favourites from his new work are Equal Sign, Music Box: Reflection, Safety Zone, Future, and Arson. The Intro has me on goosebumps! The mix of vocals and rap is so good!     JITB is really good..Jhope really showed all the colors he has this time..the way he presented the lyrics,performances,the rap and everything's very versatile and cool. I really hope that there will be JITB pt.2

    There’s an excellent three track run from “What if…,” an energetic song that samples Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” into mid-tempo standout “Safety Zone” before a touch of Hope World familiarity returns in the optimistic “Future.”
