Aug 29, 2019This album is a true and cathartic celebration of music and features some of the most treasured artists and the most hopeful future prospects. It’s all here and its glorious.
-
Aug 30, 2019It’s got some of the best writing she’s done. And in the lighter moments or the ones where you can’t escape thinking about the sheer amount of talent-wrangling that went into it… well, what’s the musical equivalent of people-watching? “Threads” is never less than a great excuse to people-listen as she runs through her A-list of Facebook friends.
-
Aug 29, 2019Threads is a culmination of virtually every sound Crow has explored through her career, which began with her crafting ad jingles in the late Eighties.
-
UncutAug 28, 2019If this is indeed Crow's last recording, as she's speculated, this cavalcade of hotwired connections is a splendid way to cap off her career. [Oct 2019, p.27]
-
Aug 28, 2019While it might be daunting to have close to 20 duets of mixed genres all on one album, it works for Crow and her crew. These collaborations show flair and offer a little bit of something for everyone, making Threads that much more appealing.
-
Classic Rock MagazineNov 13, 2019She's at her best and most fiery in default-setting rock-chick mode. [Dec 2019, p.81]
-
Aug 29, 2019Running a leisurely 75 minutes, Threads doesn't seem sequenced so much as unedited; it's as if instead of finishing the album, she decided to dump every track out into the marketplace. This makes for a somewhat somnolent record, but it's better to think of it as not a complete meal but rather a buffet that contains something to please every palette.
-
Sep 3, 2019Threads makes an admirable case for the continued survival of “L.A” as synecdoche and pension plan. The remakes comprise the album’s least compelling section.
-
Sep 17, 2019For the most part we're in familiar territory: the sounds are familiar, the production is crisp and the songs are full of the colour of widescreen Americana.
-
Aug 30, 2019Threads is an ambitious, gloriously overstuffed reminder of Crow’s talents.
-
Aug 29, 2019The special-guests duets record is a famously fraught exercise, one that’s almost predestined to be bogged down by its own attention-grabbing premise. Threads hardly escapes that predicament, but it’s filled with enough solid songcraft to make one hope that Crow isn’t, in fact, truly done with record making for good.
-
MojoAug 28, 2019Crow sounds wholly at ease, but for all the vocal variety Stevie Nicks, James Taylor and a rueful Vince Gill bring, she doesn't sound wholly inspired. [Oct 2019, p.89]

Aug 23, 2022Um dos melhores álbuns já lançados pela Sheryl Crow, encerrou a discografia lindamente.
