A different kind of enjoyment than in the past, but just as good. Maybe even better.

WINK is CHAI’s most comforting listen to date, but that doesn’t mean they’ve left behind the fun or the bold, animated bite of it all. Instead, it’s a record that builds on everything they’ve done before, understanding their strengths together as a group and then growing something more immersive and insightful from it – all while remaining deliciously joyful.

CHAI see no line whatsoever between taking on whatever issues get to them and being able to completely bliss out, and it’s this very energy that continues to make them absolutely essential. WINK is simply the warmest, most open way they’ve chosen to engage in that battle yet.

CHAI generously extend their wonder-filled perspective to anyone who will listen. In turn, they ask us to find our own joy, wherever and whenever we can.

With Ric Wilson, YMCK and Mndsgn coming on board, the band’s collaborative effort to produce a rebellious and determined album has been able to come to fruition.

If each album were a flavor of ice cream, this would be "icing on the cake" by Baskin Robbins, as there is a sweetness that flirts with you since its presentation to its taste: sweet and indulgent with staying on your tongue. While indie-pop is becoming regular and more profitable thanks to tiktokers, I think this album could take more position on the charts with something on trend. I am ready to fulfill it, and to listen the two previous albums of this group.

A beautifully strange alt rock record. Chai have come into their own brilliantly after their breathtaking debut.
