Can't Say I Ain't Country is a successful blend of the cosmopolitan and country, sounding as assured on soulful slow jams and percolating crossover pop as it does on the breakneck twang of "Y'all Boys," a duet with their protégé HARDY.

Even though their unique music production always nudges musical boundaries, Can't Say I Ain't Country attempts to knock down musical barriers by affixing a fresh glow on past country music trends.

The result is an uneven record that leaves country’s most irreverent hitmakers sounding needlessly cautious.

For all the shopping-mall feel of their songs, they can be industrially catchy. ... If only their lyrics weren’t so cringey.

Can’t Say I Ain’t Country is an amalgamation of country-pop’s worst features. It’s country without the grit or emotion; pop without any of the fun or hooks.

This my favorite country album of 2019 and one of my favorite albums of 2019. Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelly's voice are fantastic and I love the twang in their voices. I love how they mix country, pop, and hip hop together. They are really great songwriters. The production of the album was great. All of the songs were terrific and I couldn't pick just a few favorites cause I loved them all so instead I ranked them, here is my ranking Swerve, Blessings, Simple, Can't Hide Red, Speed of Love, Like You Never Had It, People Are Different, Y'all Boys, Talk You Out of It, Women, Can"t Say I Ain't Country, Colorado, Small Town, Sittin' Pretty, and Told You. I also loved the skits/interludes that were done by Brother Jervel that were throughout the album they were a very unique feature on the album. Also I loved the front and back cover. This is for sure an A+ album. Expand

Perhaps would give this higher rating if it weren't named 'Can't Say I Ain't Country.' Stupid and disrespectful.
