Oct 18, 2022The band have lost none of the piss and vinegar that's marked every stylistic diversion that came before. They're just taking those component parts to build one barnstorming monster of a record.
-
Oct 5, 2022It is an easy, thoroughly enjoyable sell, abounding in the band’s signature blend of grit and gratitude.
-
Oct 5, 2022Derivative it may be, and it’s certainly overindulgent in parts, but in using old tropes to tell fresh stories The Will to Live manages to be both rambunctious and reflective, resulting in a hearty, heady feast of rock n’ roll.
-
UncutOct 5, 2022The message is heavy but the music is tremendous fun. [Nov 2022, p.38]

Oct 14, 2022Even if The Will to Live ultimately proves the old adage that you can't will a masterpiece into existence, what's here is the work of a great band with a fine songwriter giving their all in the studio and playing at the top of their game, and that makes it a great listen, if not quite an example of Ultimate Rock.
-
Oct 5, 2022Like most of Stickles’ efforts, some editing would help tighten the flow of the record, but as it stands, The Will to Live is a success with Titus Andronicus channeling their punk core straight into the arena rock rafters.
