Endless Rooms is another strong outing from the group, definitive proof that they are still gleefully exploring their sound and are more than willing to take whatever approach is needed to put the songs across.

While ‘Endless Rooms’ chronicles a darker period in RBCF’s time as a band, it’s an album that paves a sonically brighter and broader future ahead.
  3. Pushing the boundaries of their sound and leaning into pointed lyricism, this record is a welcome new chapter for the band.

Endless Rooms presents a tightly-knit ensemble creatively, thrilling ablaze. [Jun 2022, p.90]

Far from a series of intimidatingly empty spaces, Endless Rooms is more like RBCF’s shared mind palace, a place rich with experiences and emotion in which they’re stretching their creative legs, throwing open door after door and rushing eagerly through, to play. [Jun 2022, p.22]

Endless Rooms bristles with a creative spirit, which is clearly displayed in the twinkling folk-rock of “Open Up Your Window” and the building/banging dance-pop of “Blue Eye Lake”. The upbeat finale, “Bounce Off The Bottom”, keeps the tone bright with synths and chimes augmenting the sound of Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever who seem to be expanding into a new era as a collective.

After 11 tracks, this return feels well-earned, but it’s equally refreshing to know the next song we hear from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever might not be so predictable.

Endless Rooms is mostly fashion free with impeccably arranged, tight guitar lines and is a solid, and sneakily good, record that intrigues and entertains a little more with every spin.

They’re more interested in making a lovable rock’n’roll record than a pointed political statement, even though at its best Endless Rooms happens to be both.

By weaving in and out of broader and more intimate concerns, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever create an album with a wide scope that ties together. The rooms might be endless, but they make sense as a single structure.

It's warm, inviting, comforting and – much like a cloudy day spent indoors – always pleasant, sporadically stimulating and only noteworthy if you're paying close attention.

Endless Rooms has the feel of a transition album, with the group throwing some new ideas at the wall and seeing what sticks. There’s several new sounds and influences present on Endless Rooms which present intriguing and viable routes for RBCF to pursue on their eventual fourth record. The future is uncertain, but hope springs eternal.

It's hard to fault the record apart from the fact it doesn't say much new. If your already on board you will enjoy, if this is your introduction to the band you'll likely be prompted to check out whats gone before. Well put together guitar pop that radiates sunshine. I'd probably still go back to the debut over this but this is a solid entry into their discography. They are not yet at the point where the formula is producing diminishing returns. Far from it. "Blue Eye Lake" is the stand out track for me with Tame Impala vibes. Full Review »
