Funny, fierce, foul-mouthed and in-your-face, Invasion of Privacy is one of the most powerful debuts of this millennium.

Iit's her softer singles that add a new dimension to her artistry. While Cardi B's own relationship with Migos's Offset has been thrown into the spotlight, Invasion of Privacy feels like her Lemonade moment, one that magnifies her insecurities for public consumption.

Where Cardi B struggles to perfect the timing of her flow, she makes up for it with the heft of her voice. Combining the gruff delivery of Biggie Smalls with the bird-flipping fire of Tupac Shakur and the bubbly aura of a tween star, Cardi deploys a hybridized power vocal that punctuates trap and bounce-heavy pop with a witty presence that makes her narrative universally accessible.

In an age of slurred mumble-rap and sing-song delivery, there’s an old-school satisfaction in hearing someone deliver their bars with such, well, finesse.

Her delivery style at best gives delicious mile-a-minute tongue-twisters, enhanced by that distinctive New Yawhk-Latinx accent. The brash vitality of the way Cardi B spits is genuinely thrilling and potent.
  6. Mostly this album succeeds on attrition and attitude, much like ‘Bodak Yellow’ did.

Amusing, yes. Revolutionary? Not quite so much. ... Right now she's doing what sells and it's "Bodak Yellow" all day until her 15 minutes fades away.

This album is a true masterpiece from beginning to end, no skips at all. The music is relatable, fun and storytelling.

This album is probably one of the best hip-hop/rab albums I've heard in a while.

Honestly wasn't expecting much from Cardi B when she announced that her debut album was going to be released on April 6th. However, theHonestly wasn't expecting much from Cardi B when she announced that her debut album was going to be released on April 6th. However, the star-studded tracklist looked promising, and I decided to give the SZA-assisted track "I Do" a listen (which turned out to be absolute fire). Then I went for "Ring" with Kehlani, and i absolutely loved it too. Somehow, I ended up playing the whole record. Let's just say that there are no filler tracks on here. The collaborations are absolutely on point ("Best Life" with Chance is sure to be a hit if given the right single treatment), and the solo tracks are no different, seeing that Cardi carries them all out tirelessly by herself.
All of the songs prove that, indeed, the Bronx rapper can spit bars, and her flow goes hard from one track to another; some songs even see her ditch the urban hardcore sound of "Bodak Yellow" and "Bartier Cardi" to rely on an easier, more lay-back sound on "Be Careful" for example. "Thru Your Phone", another highlight, is an absolute bop, with Cardi singing the hook so sentimentally, and opener "Get Up 10" has the most personal and hardcore rap verses Cardi has ever gone for, giving "All Things Go" by Nicki Minaj a run for its money.
However, some tracks fall short here and there: "Drip" feels like a full-on Migos song, "She Bad" with YG has the worst hook on the record, and "I Like It" would've been way better without the collabs on it.
With all its ups and downs, "Invasion of Privacy" is undeniably a confident solid debut LP.

É o pior álbum que já surgiu na história. Por Deus, como Offset pode escrever isso? Não tem flow e só provou ser a putinha do rap!
